From the unpublished series: ‘Gagarin Monuments’ by René Nuijens.
Photographed on a Leica M6 with 35mm
Extract from a video posted on X, ex-Twitter, by the excellent @sovietvisuals and described as a Russian language course for foreigners.
The customer couple are first offered a 6x6 Kiev SLR. Then a Zorki-4 or 4k, and finally a Smena-8m.
I'm inclined to think of it as a bit of macho condescension, considering that the lady shouldn't be entrusted with a camera that's too complicated...
Perhaps a Russian speaker can confirm my impression? As well as clarifying other interesting elements of the dialogue, such as the price of the device?
