Its been a while I haven't upload photos here. Here's one to catch up.

"Life is like the ocean. It can be calm and still or rough or rigid but in the end, it is always beautiful"

Your light will shine when all else fades.

Something there in between

Then and there that exceeds all we can dream

So we can talk about it"

Came across this band the other day called Flyleaf while i was doing the editing on this photo, if you don't know them then have a listen to a song called "So I thought" - the lead singer has the most amazing voice. Listen here

This is a Woodland Kingfisher (433) (Halcyon senegalensis) 23 cm; 63 g which is going into its nest at this point. I also sat here for a week to get this shot. This bird is very fast so I had to concentrate the whole time. Bird number is 433.

I met my Flickr contact Alex Bond-Smith for a drink at Bloubergstrand. Great to meet you Alex.

Twice a day, morning and late afternoon, we rode in this Land Rover looking for game. We saw plenty. One night we went out after dark driving late into the evening in search of jaguars and other predators. We missed the jaguar but saw plenty else. Our guide had lost an arm in a car accident but handled the standard shift without a problem. He drove us through terrain that most two handed drivers would avoid.
