燕岳は飛騨山脈にある標高2,763 mの山です。

私の好きな山の一つです。

Morning light leaks from under the sea of clouds, illuminating the mountain surface and sunrise brightly. The sun will rise soon.

Mt. Tsubakuro is a mountain in the Hida Mountains at an altitude of 2,763 m. It's one of my favorite mountains.

I'm wanting to put on something besides jeans, t-shirts and hoodies.....but I like looking at these pretty beads even if they're just hanging on a closet door! And they’re the color of a Caribbean sea, a plus!

Hello my amazing Flickr friends !

Today is a black and white day at Color my World Daily and we celebrate Sliders Sunday. Since we went apple picking yesterday, I decided to go with a flying apple. Strangely enough we never had a flying apple on this photostream. And I’m not talking about levitating apples ! I’m talking about an actual apple with wings and flying… I’m truly surprised but then again my gin and tonic soaked memory is … well…soaked in gin and tonic. So without any further delay: flying apple. Be carful, not to get hit by this flying apple !!

When an apple hits you in the head you might feel a little bit disoriented or lost for a while, some hurtful childhood memories may resurface. I'm talking from personal experience...once my son hit me with an apple by accident since his abilities to throw something at a moving target with success are as good as mine… It felt like I almost got a concussion !!

While most of my garden has awakened a bit earlier this year, the Peonies are slower in showing their beauty. Definitely worth waiting for those big blooms.

Just waiting for those Fall leaves to start falling!

We will soon be going to Costa rica and I am looking forward to seeing the brown hooded parrots again !! They never disappoint us with their beauty and fun behavior. This is the time of year for nesting and for the young giving us many different photographic options.

King Fern fiddlehead in the process of rolling up.

The King Fern is easily mistaken for a trunkless Palm. It produces the longest fern fronds in the world. The fronds can grow up to 7m in length. It does not a have a well-developed trunk. The fronds sprout from near ground level. The King fern likes dimly-lit rainforest stream banks.

I was given and Amaryllis three years ago, but the last two years it never bloomed, just leaves...

I spotted bulbs in a box store and had to purchase one... took the old bulb out of the pot, cut it all down and replaced with this... and in a matter of weeks, this new one is ready to pop!

I'm hoping the other bulb will come alive next year.

Colmer`s Hill, Symondsbury, Dorset, rises 417ft above the rich fertile pastures of "The green and pleasant land" of England.

It looks like some giant hand has just planted it there as its perfectly symmetrical and it appears suddenly before you like some prehistoric iron age hill fort that has just sprung straight out of the earth.

However, the shape was created naturally over millions of years purely by erosion. The underlying strata consists of soft red sandstone which weathers easily especially in the open wind swept and wet countryside which is typical of the climate of south cost of England during the Winter months.

You can see the path winding its way to the top and the russet brown bracken fronds which are dying back for the winter and they give a nice tinge to the greenery on the slopes..

There are 7 Scots Pine { Pinus Sylvestris } growing on the top and they were planted by Maj W P Colfox during the first world war. For what reason, we dont know but Im certain he wouldnt have to have had a reason!!! They are called " The Magnificent Seven " and Im not going there! Dream on!!! Lol!

So there it stands and I think it looks wonderfully majestic in the soft fading light of a late September " Dorset " evening.

Ive had this pic since last year and Im only getting around to it now. I do hope you like it as much as I do and Im sure Ill find out soon enough!
