This is a two shot panorama looking across Wast Water in the Lake District to the mighty IllGill head that runs alongside the Lake.

Really ruggedly beautiful place and i just absolutely loved all the different colours and textures of the rock and the shadows from the trees as the late summer sun flowed across the surfaces :)

This ridge runs towards Scafell pike to the left, England's highest mountain. It looks very much like the wilds of Scotland around there

A beautiful deep orange supermoon rises over the sea as seen from Gwennap Head, Cornwall. The rocks are still slightly lit from the setting sun.

I do love a lone tree picture. Unfortunately in my neck of the woods (pun intended) trees are quite hard to come by. I can count on one hand the number of lone trees in a ten mile radius of where I live. The ones we do have tend to be either the untidy sycamore, which have already lost their leaves due to recent gales, or windswept hawthorns, hanging on and growing almost horizontally sometimes. My photography mentors tell that we are coming to the time of glorious autumnal colours. I guess they must live in more hospitable places.

After waiting for what has felt like weeks, we finally had a clear night last night and I hurried over to Cape Cornwall to photograph the Milky Way as it was rising. The bright light on the left is Sennen and Land's End and the lght below the Milky Way on the horizon is Longships Lighthouse. It was great to be out at night again under the stars even though it was a little too windy.
