Got some wild results from reflecting my LED lights in an old CD. I know I say this nearly every week, but I took loads of these and a couple of others for the theme, so difficult to choose the final post!

My beautyful cat with beautyful eyes !

I take care of stray cats, please don't abandon them anymore or throw them out the window, these poor animals are part of the family, they suffer, they feel hunger, thirst, pain and loneliness, they are faithful to us until death. I am not asking for charity for them but a click or a kind word can mark the history of your solidarity ! Look at them how beautiful and affectionate they are. Thanks for them !

Sometimes all I hear is the music in my head.

I've never seen (or heard) as many Ruffed Grouse drumming in any one place as we did on last weeks camping trip. This one was thumping at regular intervals right next to our campsite just as we returned in the early evening. When he stopped, there were at least two or three others replying nearby.

If you've not heard it before, it's a fascinating sound - like an engine trying to start up. You can check it out here: youtu.be/MVfiIp3QGs4

They stretch up tall and puff out their chests, which made me think they were beating their chests but that's not the case at all. The male Ruffed Grouse’s signature drumming display doesn’t involve drumming on anything but air. As the bird quickly rotates its wings forward and backward, air rushes in beneath the wings creating a miniature vacuum that generates a deep, sonic boom that carries up to a quarter of a mile.

Sonic Bloom - Don Corson

These sun loving , harmonic blooms use regionally manufactured custom solar panels to generate their own power. The electricity generated make the flowers dance with light through the evening and sing through the day, 365 days of the year.

Sonic Bloom combines art and science to help educate about solar energy and inspire people to consider how they can incorporate renewable energy into their lives.

Sonic Bloom is created by Seattle-based artist Don Corson .

Wednesday's (04/12/17) edition of 11Z takes a pause at CP WYE on the Norfolk Southern Buffalo Line with "Sonic Bonnet" AC44C6M #4001 leading the southbound manifest.

A corridor of lights synchronized to the speed of sound

The Sonic Runway is a light-art installation that converts audio signals into patterns of light that shoot down a corridor of LED lined arches at the speed of sound.

At the front of the Sonic Runway, the observers see musical sound waves rippling away from them. Walking down the corridor, sound and light are always in sync. Looking back from the far end, walkers can see the sound waves coming at them, and hear the music as the pattern reaches them.

The petals of each of these "flowers" have hidden sensors that identify movement - the flowers “sing” when people are nearby in distinctive series of harmonic notes simulating a singing chorus. ツ

Sonic Drive-In - East Gore Location - Lawton, OK

Red and Blue Sonic the Hedgehog Cake. I like their cheeky expressions!

Its not just a name, but a way of movement. NS 4001 and 1078 scream through Wauseon Oh with empty grain train 51N for Illinois. I had chased these guys for a few hours from Marion OH to Bellevue, once they rolled through Bellevue I gave up and headed to Deshler to shoot CPL's and maybe have a fire. Well once I heard he was going to run west on the Chicago Line it was a easy decision to make. A couple inches of snow had fallen the night before creating a nice base snow, as I was driving up it started snowing again making a very peacefully beautiful scene that I very much enjoyed shooting this final shot of 51N in.

Sonic is one of three people who know the Masked Marvel's true identity, and he ain't tellin'.

I debated long and hard about posting this panning shot as it's of course not sharp, anywhere. However, I did like the sense of speed the image conveys and it's Oliver's sports day tomorrow, and I showed him this to (hopefully) inspire him on the day :-)

Sky over sonic... what can I say ... and then he said.... I was surprised by this shot myself. Waiting for my son to get his order and was watching the clouds to see how the sunset was shaping up and this is what I took.

Sonic the Plushhog seems to enjoy it alot.

Sonic often thinks back to the good times he had with his friends. He remembers the laser tag game when Tails lost and did an lmpression of the Wicked Witch from The Wizard of Oz.

"Looks like 224 was on the move at Luther about 25 minutes ago. Still hasn't passed St. Peters so you might be in luck for that one."

With limited time for railfanning on a weekend trip to St. Louis, the note above from Doug Howell proved to be incredibly helpful to me as I set out on a trip to Mark Twain Hobby Center in St. Charles, MO. From the hobby shop, the Norfolk Southern tracks are just a hop, skip, and a jump to the north, so I took a bit of a detour on my way to the shop, scouted out a nice location, and waited it out. After hearing the detector east of the Missouri River bridge start squawking, I knew that it was close, and I was thrilled to see a BLUE GE on the point. Whether it was Sonic or Conrail, I knew that I'd be happy.

Sure enough, NS 4000 aka "Sonic" was on the point of this 224 train, making for quite the nice catch! 224 is NS' daily Atlanta-Kansas City intermodal, and it's got a good track record of attracting interesting power.

New Zealand has a varied and diverse landscape from mountain ranges to stunning beaches. All though this looks like a scene from another planet it's a Glacial lake, Tasman Lake where large chunks of glacial ice as big as buses shear of the mountain side making a noise as loud as a sonic boom and tumble down into this lake where they eventually break up and are washed down through a river.

Sonic the Hedgehog. On a simple white background. Black text naming him. You just gotta love that little blue blur.
