Teardrops fell over the worn out leather journal on her lap, the colored pencils threatening to slide off if she made the wrong move. Her head tiled to the glass, the kaleidoscope comforting her crushed heart.
Her face was suddenly graced with a wet nose, followed by multiple sticky, loving licks, all over her tear filled face. She turned to see him looking at her with confused eyes over her evident anguish. She tilted her head at him, looking deep into his eyes and what she saw filled that crushed heart with warmth.
