Update: I talked to Klas Lundkvist at Stockholm City Museum.
According to him, this picture is probably taken at Årstalunden in Södermalm, Stockholm.
The two towers in the background are water reservoirs.
They were torn down in the 30s, when the Södersjukhuset hospital was built.

I found a box of photographic plates at Hötorget flea market in Stockholm a while ago. I put them on my light table, photographed them and then inverted them in Photoshop. I also adjusted the balance a little if necessary. This is the result. Fascinating, isn't it? The pictures seem to be from somewhere in Sweden around 1900.
Tortoise? Turtle? Ideas? This was spotted about 45 feet from Sodom Pond in Adamant, Vermont, USA.
