Stormy skies over Glacier's Two Medicine Lake. First snow of the season the night before. Nice balance of autumn gold and winter to come.
Never Laughs Woman mountain, Painted Teepee Peak and Mt. Sinopah hold up the clouds.
A few more shots from this morning walk in comments.
Cool thoughts on a muggy day.
Have a wonderful Wednesday!

This robin was just standing there enjoying the reflections in the lake. I was doing the same thing before I saw him. It was a moment of solitude, of communion with nature. The reflections of the trees in the water were abstract and beautiful.
Thank you very much for your kind comments and visit, much appreciated!
I was out early this morning taking some photos. The sun was just peaking over the trees and the fog was drifting peacefully over Twin Lakes. Then I saw this lady fishing. We talked for a bit. I asked her if I could take her picture. She gave me permission. I showed her the picture and asked if I could email a copy of it to her. Somehow I was not surprised by her response... "I don't go on computers."

Winter solitude –
in a world of one color
the sound of wind.

Being solitary is being alone well: being alone luxuriously immersed in doings of your own choice, aware of the fullness of your won presence rather than of the absence of others. Because solitude is an achievement.

"Voyager"
Watching satellites
Lying in the grass
I know our days are numbered
But you don't know that I feel like that
You don't hear solitude calling me away
And the hardest part is part of me wants to stay
I won't wait for you
I'm already gone
Like moonlight leaves with the dawn
I won't wait for you
The night's too long
I'm a voyager and I voyage on
Clouds move like paint
Changing in the sky
If the wind is on my side
Might leave tonight
I hate to disappoint you but I've always been this way
And I know you need me here but I know that I won't stay
No, I won't wait for you
I'm already gone
Like moonlight leaves with the dawn
I won't wait for you
The night's too long
I'm a voyager and I voyage on
I'm a voyager and I voyage on
No, I won't wait for you
I'm already gone
Like moonlight leaves with the dawn
I won't wait for you
The night's too long
I'm a voyager and I voyage on
I'm a voyager and I voyage on
