Nachdem bereits am frühen Morgen 2 Kesselzüge (mit 232 u. Class 66/77) nach Großenkneten gefahren waren, und der Planzug ausblieb, schwand die Hoffnung auf eine Ludmilla. Dann eben ein paar Fensterzüge, dachte ich ...
Die 1992 von Siemens gebaute ES 64 P-001 ist ist der Prototyp der EuroSprinter-Familie und war als Erprobungsträger für neue Komponenten und Materialien bei der Deutschen Bahn als 127 001 im Einsatz. Sie kann daher als „Urmutter“ der aktuellen Siemens-Drehstromlokomotiven bezeichnet werden, die in zahlreichen Ländern im Einsatz stehen. Nach ihrer Erprobungsphase gelangte sie 2002 zum Fuhrpark des Siemens-eigenen Vermieters Dospolok und ist hier ohne Zug zwischen Westerstetten und Beimerstetten unterwegs. Seit 2009 ist sie als PCW 8 dem Siemens-Prüfcenter in Wildenrath zugeordnet.
Links, wo damals der Schäfe noch seine Schäfchen weidete, wird heute Solarstrom produziert.

Eine rotflammige Sonnenblume (selbstgezogen) vor einem Solarstrom-Modul, daneben Weinblätter.
Das ist die höchste und zugleich schönste Sonnenblume, die ich in den letzten Jahren gezogen habe. Sie hat eine Höhe von über 3m erreicht und ist tatsächlich durch die Weinreben hoch zum Solarmodul gewachsen, wie passend.
Thanks to my husband who took this picture last night. I tried hard even with my camera but just couldn't get it right. My uncle sent me a message with pictures and to look out. I couldn't believe it at first and ran out on the balcony and I saw a little bit of red colour at the sky and when we took our phones we realized "Wow, northern lights in Bünde!" I screamed and almost cried. A dream came true. Though I thought to see it in Iceland first one day but over my balcony? How cool is that? It wasn't as intense as in other parts of Germany and across the globe but it was a tiny bit visible with the eye and even more on our devices. If my uncle wouldn't have notified me, then we would've completely missed it.

Natürlich hat es mich sehr gefreut, dass bei 80 km/h und diesem Licht doch etwas schärfe im Bild ist .. ;)))
During the trip I saw this beautiful sunset and of course immediately had to grab the camera .. ;)))
Of course it made me very happy that at 80 km/h there is some sharpness in the picture .. ;)))

My main reason for heading to the west end of Zurich on that post-lockdown day, was in order to photograph the building featured here. Even after doing some research, I can't tell you exactly what it is used for, but it appears to be part of the Swissmill complex and is likely a grain silo. If any of you know what the building is used for, then please let me know.
I had seen the building multiple times out the train window while travelling along the nearby tracks and every time I thought to myself that it would look amazing photographed in black and white. The compositions I originally had in mind will be featured in the next post, but I was also quite chuffed with how this front-on image turned out.
