Vintage soft vinyl figures of Rei Ayanami and Asuka Langley Soryu by Tsukuda Hobby released in 1996. Both are slightly over 10 inches tall. 1/6th scale. Nowadays most of anime sofubi figures are ready made ones with high standard of finish but when this set appeared back then the anime character vinyl figures were mainly released as unpainted, unassembled model kits. If my memory serves me correctly, it would be safe to say that these are of early generation factory painted and completed sofubi figures in decent quality made in China for Japanese manufacturers. The set includes two round black bases and support shafts and waist clips to make the figures stand.

This is fun toy, 3D Demolition Puzzle Fantasy of Ultra Kaiju Gomora by Bandai and MegaHouse released in 2023 from the first Ultraman series first appeared in 1966, episode 26 part 1 and episode 27 part 2, The Prince of Monsters (怪獣殿下). Gomora is one of my most favourtie Ultra Kaijus! 👍😎👍👹🌟✨

T9G Shyly Saisei custom show will be held from August 3 to August 27 in Kyoto here 京都 LOFT, or here KYOTO creators UNIQUE. I think Above sotogawa currently sells at the event, ¥7,350 each.
On sale early this year, the first Shyly Saisei (below) is handmade, each ¥ 22,000.

Sometimes you start something with a vision, and you just can't anticipate how long it will take to make it happen... That was the case with these 10 "Army of Brightness" Ugly Unicorns! 8+ layers of spray/masking, and some super work-intensive screen printed header cards are what you get with each of these figures. Oh how I love painting sofubi ^_^

Painted up for the upcoming Design Festa in Tokyo - November 12/13th. I'll be in booth I-300 with Datadub (Don) and Refreshment Aya - both will be selling other AWESOME sofubi toys! Come stop by if you're in Japan!

Nostalgic style Nagare Ryoma (流竜馬), the pilot of Getter Robo Tricycle by Fewture released in 2024. Mixture of tin, plastic parts and the figure is sofubi. So cute and so cool!!
I finaly received them after so many YEARS! Directly from Japan these vintage old sofubi toys are made by Miura and have similar look of the Hutch honey bee toys made by Nakajima. Extremly rare toys... never seen these 2 on yahoo auction, a toy dealer has helped me and found them. Very priced by wow so happy to get!!
