This one is TEDEROS-03 Fighter Robot by Marusan. 6.5 inches tall and it is marked as 1/150 scale and the pilot Ken Ishida inside the robot behind the clear dome on the chest. Nice touch!
However, again same as the TEDEROS 01 I already have, for the size of the figure (6.5” tall) the box itself is far too big! (6”x9.5”x5”) and I just wonder was it necessary? Maybe it was so, so that they could ask for higher price... That’s marketing for you, haha!!

This one is TEDEROS-02 Transporter Type Robot by Marusan. 5.7 inches long and it is marked as 1/850 scale and the pilot Michael Brown figure is inside the clear dome (although for the scale it is really oversized! Ha Ha!!). Also with or without intention of the creator it resembles the Thunderbird 2.
I am glad to add this sofubi figure to my collection! Bandai MMS figures are great for affordable prices and yet good quality for mass production. So cool!

This one is TEDEROS-05 First Aid Robot by Marusan. 6 inches tall and it is marked as 1/150 scale and the pilot Erika Willinger figure is inside the clear dome. Nice reminder of Gang of Five style skirted robot design was used for this one and it suits well.
Two bootleg Ultra Taro. I had thought they were the same but have different mold/articulation points.

This is retro style Kamen Rider Mini Sofubi Collection by Unifive released in 2000. Kamen Rider is 4.2 inches tall and also the other Kaijins (Tokageron and Sunogon) are about the same height.

“Kyojin No Hoshi” was one of the many comics I grew up with. Not like now I used to love playing sports such as baseball and soccer as a kid and I believe this one was one of the inspirations for me doing so. Both figures are about 3.4 inches tall. The box back and sides are the same as Tiger Mask set.
Japanese sofubi makers tried figures of Haruo Nakajima wearing half lower body suit for stomping close up shots. Now I have one reversed and it is much more pleasant to wear as it provides ample ventilation around the genital area! ha ha!!

I've read reports of the talker box malfunctioning on these guys... and mine was no different. He hasn't uttered more than a stuttering speaker crackle, and his draw string won't retract. He's still a big cool sofubi, though!
The weather has been too unpredictable to continue my outdoors photos - raining on and off, and plenty of wind. So I've moved the operation up to my man cave. I need to get some kind of light diffusers.
Bullmark released their Varan figure in 1970, and the figure is available in many variations. And I'm not talking about slight differences in spray quality, but widely varying colors from blue and green, to yellow and black, including mold colors.
From left to right:
Molded in vermillion red, black (almost a metallic midnight blue) sprays on the back, yellow chest. Gold eyes and teeth.
Molded in a vibrant red, and is sprayed in black and grey with golden eyes. There's a grey spray on the tip of his tail.
Molded in a vibrant red, and is sprayed in black and white with golden eyes. There's a white spray on the tip of his tail.
Varan stands about 9 inches tall and the Bullmark logo is stamped into his left foot.
