I have had a lovely day today, I have been in town shopping for the trip to Belfast. I treated myself to a few things which I never do. I don't think I have ever spent that long in town shopping while enjoying myself.
I bit the bullet and got myself some hair dye (thankyou Chinatown for giving me the kick up the backside that I needed), makeup, p.j's, a new bag and purse. Now I have everything for Belfast, I really can't wait.

A good smell does, and delicious lavender soft ice cream.
I think this is the most delicious one though In the cream with
processed foods that has been eaten up to now.
I decided it was time to take my new-to-me flash out for a spin. Thanks to a wonderful tutorial, I have figured out how to get great light with it. My Alanna, after her shower, and comfy on the couch. This is straight out of the camera, no adjustments.
This was taken in the morning as we headed to the Princess Breakfast in Norway.
I like the softness of this adjustment, becuase the sun had just risen and you just knew it was going to be a beautiful day!
Wow. My cat loves to get in the way of my shots.
Luckily, I go with it.

This photo cam eout a lot softer than I had anticipated, mainly due to a buildup of salt water spray on my lens. Good thing I'm not a pixel peeper purist.
The wind was pretty intense here testified by the waves and the manes.
LOL. So I was thinking I would just put makeup on half of my face... So I took pix like that... and thats when I realized you should do your whole face!
Not sure what these are - were just part of a pretty spring bunch bought from the supermarket.
If someone can tell me what they are, then all the better :)

Henry is pretty much soft all over, but particularly soft is the top of his head - especially if you've pet the fur in reverse (toward his muzzle) causing all the hairs to stand on end.
It feels like long thick, long velvet.

Sadly, I'm missing the driver on mine, so it had to be replaced by this cute little mouse.
I took some photos of my friend's newborn. His eyes are amazing and reflected light like nothing I have seen before. His name is Wyatt and he's half Caucasian, half Chinese.
This is my soft light image. I wanted to get a "look back" portrait for my soft light photo. The white shirt brings out the tan in his skin. As well as the little bit of an open mouth gives it a: in the moment, action shot.
I thought this was a gopher turtle and I was wondering if it were hurt because it's so flat, but the guy who helped me move it said it was a soft shell turtle and it "will bite my finger right off."
Boy, that turtle can run...he just hydroplaned along the street till it finally ended up back in the creek whence it came.
