TZUM , Sofia, Bulgaria
TZUM or CUM is the abbreviation of Централен универсален магазин (Tsentralen universalen magazin), or Central Department Store. It was built between 1954-55 and it's part of the Largo complex which is a classic example of Socialist Realist architecture.
After the fall of the Communism it was sold and high priced brands opened their shops there. The TZUM has the most expensive rental prices in Bulgaria.
There was an intense contrast between the Communistic design, the overpriced brands and the lack of visitors.
