Si acaso al otro lado de la vida
otra vez, por azar, nos encontramos,
¿se reconocerán nuestras miradas
o seremos tan sólo un par de extraños?
de todos modos te amaré lo mismo.
Juntos. O separados.

Part of old downtown Socorro, New Mexico near the Plaza, built between 1881 and 1886. But Socorro is much older than that. When the Don Juan de Onate expedition traveled through in 1598, Onate gave the name "Socorro" (meaning "help") to the Piro Indian pueblo he found here becasue of the people's kindness and gifts of corn and supplies. The Camino Real passed through Socorro and a mission was started 1615.

This lovely dove was sitting outside a dove cot at the zoo when I took this shot. It's a Socorro dove, a species that was endemic to Socorro Island off the west coast of Mexico. They are now considered as extinct in the wild. Only slightly above 100 of them are left in captivity.
Mission Nuestra Senora de Limpia Concepcion de los Piros de Socorro del Sur
The present Socorro Mission was constructed around 1840 to replace an earlier 18th-century mission destroyed in 1829 by flooding of the Rio Grande.
This mission has been recently restored and is beautiful. However, it's simple lines and white color make it blend right into the background. The white walls reflect some of the blue from the sky.
To get some directional light I shot this at sunrise but I still had a problem with little definition. So I moved very close to this tree and tried different positions.
This one turned out to be the best. You can't get this shot except with an ultrawide lens.
Tree and church just won't line up properly.
Whatever you give a woman, she will make greater. If you
give her sperm, she'll give you a baby. If you give her a
house, she'll give you a home. If you give her groceries,
she'll give you a meal. If you give her a smile, she'll give
you her heart. She multiplies and enlarges what is given to
her. So, if you give her any crap, be ready to receive a ton
of shit.
