Guess how many prims that used?!

A lone trainer shoe is about to kick those tabular icebergs around…

Old sneakers are great. I'd like to see a website that allows people to share stories of their old sneakers and maybe even trade them..would that be too weird?

There are so many beautiful textures on sneakers... I got these after having walked more than 15 km on "normal" shoes, getting to the point where I could not walk anymore... sat on a coffee shop, googled "sports shop", found a shop 80 m away, struggled to get there (Fleet feet, Davis, California) and got these beautiful and so comfortable New Balance... a miracle... and kept walking before flying for 11 hours back home...

Ty Nikkita for this cute pic

This is the shoestring eyelet of a Nike Renew running shoe. The circular eyelet is 1.5 centimeters in diameter. (The blurry part around the eyelet is caused by a clear plastic washer-type piece used to reinforce it.)

Strobist info:

One Nikon SB700 speedlight with red Rogue gel was placed head first into the right shoe. The flash was triggered by the on-camera CLS in Commander mode (manual), set to 1⁄32 power. A 3-second shutter speed was used to allow time for an approximately 1-second exposure to the blue LED of a Coast TX10 Quad Color flashlight, which was handheld 90 degrees camera right.

This is a older photo I just came across of my cat. She is the first cat I've had that folows me everywhere I go.

I've always been a 'dog' person, but she won my heart. She's a manx and has 6 toes on her back feet and 5 on her front.

yes - they all flew ...

The whole idea of it makes me feel

like I'm coming down with something,

something worse than any stomach ache

or the headaches I get from reading in bad light--

a kind of measles of the spirit,

a mumps of the psyche,

a disfiguring chicken pox of the soul.

You tell me it is too early to be looking back,

but that is because you have forgotten

the perfect simplicity of being one

and the beautiful complexity introduced by two.

But I can lie on my bed and remember every digit.

At four I was an Arabian wizard.

I could make myself invisible

by drinking a glass of milk a certain way.

At seven I was a soldier, at nine a prince.

But now I am mostly at the window

watching the late afternoon light.

Back then it never fell so solemnly

against the side of my tree house,

and my bicycle never leaned against the garage

as it does today,

all the dark blue speed drained out of it.

This is the beginning of sadness, I say to myself,

as I walk through the universe in my sneakers.

It is time to say good-bye to my imaginary friends,

time to turn the first big number.

It seems only yesterday I used to believe

there was nothing under my skin but light.

If you cut me I could shine.

But now when I fall upon the sidewalks of life,

I skin my knees. I bleed.

Look carefully and you will see that that this lady is wearing a pair of Converse "Chuck Taylor" All Stars

Introduced in 1917 by the Coverse Rubber Company Converse All Stars -- known affectionately as "Connies" -- are .in fact , the oldest, most popular and best selling American basketball sneaker of all time. I have read somewhere that even today 60% of all Americans own or have at one time owned at least one pair of "Connies"-- Even today despite all the competition these old school sneakers continue to sell very well- - though less as athletic shoes and more as a fashion statement
