煙塵可能是燃燒稻草造成

Smoke may be caused by burning straw.

The autumn steam gala of 2009 on the Great Central Railway.

August has been going by so quickly for me - my day job continues to be busy, and the Great Salt Lake continues to be covered with smoke from massive fires burning in California and Oregon.

This shot is from July before the wildfire smoke - my heart goes out to all those who are have been impacted by those fires.

The Great Salt Lake - GPS is not the exact spot of the shot.

I went to the store to buy some flowers for today's Smile on Saturday challenge. It was fun because I haven't had my camera out for a while and it was starting to bug me. I ended up buying myself some chocolates too. I felt a little embarrassed when I came home. ;-)

Forest fires North of us filled the air with smoke!

I am fascinated by smoke photographs. For this weeks theme, I've decided to experiment on smoke photography. This is a photo of a small (5cl) bottle and a smoke from a burning incense from inside it.

Ít is a composite of 3 shots as my incense keep dying from inside and I didn't get enough volume of smoke coming out from the bottles opening hole.

HMM!

The pistils in the middle of the flowers of Prairie Smoke Geum develop into heads of seeds with long fuzzy hairs that point upwards. The hairs resemble mauve smoke, hence the name prairie smoke. These collected some overnight dew, adding to their delicate beauty.

So tell me

Did you ever really love me?

Did you ever really want me?

Now that I see you clearer

I wonder was I ever really happy

Didn't get the chance to ask me

Now that I see you clearer

Was it just smoke and mirrors?

Ooh, was it just smoke and mirrors?

Rising sun in Petoskey, Michigan, about 500 miles from the Canadian fires in Quebec. You can smell the smoke in the air, it feel like someone is burning stuff in their backyard. The days are hazy, people cough, and I got a headache at the end of the day. The smoke has been coming in for about a week; I can't imagine what it can be like on site.

This is smoke from a backflow incense cone. According to Google "backflow incense cones work by using a hollow tunnel through the center that directs smoke downwards, creating a waterfall effect as the smoke cools, becomes denser than air, and sinks through the burner's channels."

I had to turn the heater off in my house, because the least little breeze blew the smoke all over the place. It was fun.

This picture covers an area that is 2.25 inches by 3 inches.

Someday he'll come along

The man I love

And he'll be big and strong

The man I love

And when he comes my way

I'll do my best to make him stay
