This doe had been looking for food and I just put out some sunflower seeds, she didn’t want to wait, fortunately I had some corn and apples on hand for her.

Rivage mystique

“The incomprehensible seems to beckon us from the background of the landscapes. It is the core of the experience of the beauty of the world” - Alexandre Lacroix, philosopher
This chaotic landscape hypnotized me
As if I had always known it,
But, yet, never seen.
It was neither beautiful or charming,
Neither ugly or terrifying
Rather terribly inhuman,
Anterior to life itself,
Of which we saw scattered traces
Clinging to the roughness of the rocks.
I could see it, touch it, feel it under my feet
Smell the salty air
Watch unlikely clouds dance
Hear the songs of the Earth
Play the elementary harmonics.
And yet I couldn't find the words
To explain the strange attraction that this landscape had on me.
A bit like a knowledge that seeks itself
In impenetrable, distant and unspeakable origins,
Of which we bear traces.
The storm was approaching, threatening
And mystery enveloped me.

'That which we call a rose, by any other word would smell as sweet.'
Romeo and Juliet
This rose, Compassion, has an exquisite scent.
I'm thinking of George Orwell planting roses
in his cottage garden in Wallington.
And of Clare of course, so often in my thoughts.

Sunshine all over for almost two weeks now, despite frosty nights our nature has made a significant progress. Dehme, Ostwestfalen, Germany
Inspired by the theme of #smell for MacroMondays. I think I can smell this. I lost my sense of smell when my horse threw me when I was 13. Two too many concussions and a skull fracture later, I can now detect some aromas, but not sure if accurate.
Despite the fine drizzling rain, Vas'ka agreed to pose for me next to the autumn chrysanthemums. He loves the smell of orange chrysanthemums.
Thank you all for visits, favs and comments! It's greatly appreciated!
Lots of you appreciated the close-up of my clematis - here is a wider view showing it flowers abundantly. And early too: last year I took a similar photo on 10 May, this year it started flowering from the beginning of April!
Yes, it has a faint but lovely sweet smell, which already attracts bees.
Few things get my photo mojo kicked into high gear more than the autumn season here in Ontario: a pearl-grey morning sky, the smell of rain in the air, and leaves turning from green to crimson and orange to gold. During the Summer especially when the sprinkler system is on Dragonflies for some reason love these white Echinacea when wet, you can actually see them move their head to the direction of the water,
Here's wishing all you lovely folks a very happy Christmas and a wonderful holiday season! Have fun!!! ♥
Every morning, you get a rose smell that loads life in your cells... they are tiny, but they smell real nice...
