Juliette adore les smarties et elle prend le temps de choisir quel sera la prochaine couleur à mettre dans sa bouche. Pas question de partager avec Emilia.
Mrs Mail and I decided to go to GOMA (Gallery of Modern Art) today because we knew they had very chilled A/C and it was a hot sunny day, and there was a new display that we hadn't seen.
I couldn't help but think of Smarties when I saw these rooms, they were absolutely awesome. The display lasts for months and when a child enters, they are given a packet of coloured sticky dots.
They are welcome to stick them anywhere they choose and can reach.
The work of 83yo Yayoi Kusama is featured extensively, and she has a fascination with dots.
If you don't know what smarties are, then think M&Ms but remember that Smarties were invented before M&Ms. Not that it's a competition or anything.

I'm 50 this year...my Mum still buys me a tube of Smarties for Christmas, as she has since I was a child...and I'd complain bitterly if she didn't ;-)
I've tried to recreate a picture I saw ages ago. The photographer had used drops of water on a CD case above some Smarties. I tried using a nice piece of glass thinking i'd get better results, but the drops dispersed and were flat. So I used the plastic CD case and got nice globular drops and cool reflections/refractions.
I just like the green ones,
And Ali likes the brown,
We're sharing out our Smarties,
And sharing them round the room.
Mum's not having any,
They put inches on her hips,
And Mariam picks the red ones,
Because she likes to paint her lips.
