Admiring the architecture in Rome we came across this Smart car which had been decorated with a natty, crocheted cover! Never seen anything like this before!
ADDED 25/7/10 Found out that this was done by the artist Magda Sayeg for the Roman Arts Festival, “Il Lusso Essenziale.” Thanks for all the pointers!
I'm glad so many of you have added this as a favourite - but please don't repost on your own photostream without an acknowledgment. Thanks.
Crossing the mud flats, a 56 car train approaches Brazos heading for interchange with the Cal Northern at Lombard. The covered hoppers are empties returning from the industries near Petaluma, and the tank cars are moving out of storage at Schellville. The afternoon lighting during winter and spring when the hills are green is magical, almost unreal. So far very little has changed since SMART took over management of the railroad. The trains are actually run by a contractor, Summit Signal Inc. of Willits, and the guys running the trains are so far are the same friendly guys as before. SMART apparently has the right to the NWP name, but it is unclear what they will want to call their freight operation, hopefully it will continue to be NWP. Back in the old days SP hauled 100 car trains of lumber cars to and from the NWP interchange at Schellville via this route, this is probably about as close to one of those long trains as todays SMART/NWP is going to get. The signals are not block signals, they are approach signals to the lift bridge at Brazos.
The bracelets that I made to go with the mauve set. There are 3 separate bracelets. I used tons of different beads but I was sure to match them all together, and used the absolute thinnest chain I have, I only have a little bit of it left.
Almost finished with the prototype patchwork dress for Smart Doll. I need to start Puddle (Pullip Con) items soon, so I won't have time to make more of these Smart Doll dresses until after that event in June. It fits many other 1/3 BJDs as well, from what I've tried on so far

Taken in The Hague, it is quite a feature that display of Smart cars.
I photographed it from all angles, but this is my favourite; I like it because the bottom car seems to be parked in front?
The figure adds to the dimension!
Thank you for your time and comments, greatly appreciated, M, (*_*)

Bracelet set for Smart Doll, silver color palette. A single wrap bracelet, a double wrap bracelet (with difficult extremely small beads!), and a simple elastic bracelet.
Here is the bracelet set I made to go along with the silver top. Made the same way as the other one, just a different color palette. Omg the tiny tiny beads on the wrap bracelet were a little difficult to do, they are so small not even my smallest beading needle will fit through them!
Smart doll wrists are a pretty unique size, larger than minifee but thinner than msd. As they are now, they only fit Smart Doll. Maybe I'll figure out the lengths for other sizes and do it preorder style instead. What wrist sizes are you interested in?
With the immpresive Orwell Hotel in the background Ipswich Reds Alexander Dennis Enviro 300 SN13 CKC stands in front of Felixstowe Railway Station on the express service from Ipswich . After catching the Ipswich buses 92 from Stutton at 1044 and a smart connection at Bourne bridge I am at Great Eastern square at 1135. Who said we do not have an intergrated transport system!
