This is a Scottish Wild Cat Kitten, not many of these cats left in the wild and the ones in captivity are very important for the breeding program so a lot rests on this little ones shoulders.
There are three kittens eyes are open and mum Kendra is very attentive to her children.
Taken at the British Wildlife Centre camera at full stretch so mum was not bothered.
Got loads more shots to look through but this one caught my eye.

Mini heatwave in Scotland at the moment...
Salyx was having a wee nap in the shade of the pink play tunnel in the garden...I woke her and she wasn’t too pleased! She soon forgave me and went back to napping.

The atmosphere reminds me the theme "Sleepy Shores" of Johnny Pearson. I recommend seeing this image while listenning to that theme. :)
A sunflower droops over with a sleep look when all the seeds fill the head - its weight becomes heavy and can no longer stand straight up.

Today is a yellow day at Color my World Daily and I have a yellow picture to celebrate this awesome occasion.
I got this tiny cat few days ago (or was it weeks ??)… Each time at look at it, I think about some « grumpy » cat… However, after looking at this kitty face, it isn’t grumpy at all ! And it has closed eyes , that is why I will call it sleepy cat. Being a very superstitious person, black cats aren’t my favourite in real life…And now I wonder if a sleeping black cat might bring you bad luck as well or is the bad luck sleeping with the cat ? So far I like this cat so I will give him the benefit of the doubt…
So who likes black cats ?

FYI: because of my renovation project I have to, constantly, move our stuff from one room to another on a very short notice !! Autumn and winter is when most female grey seals haul themselves ashore to give birth.
It seems like a strange time to do it, when icy winds are blowing and the nights are long. One explanation is that after a summer of catching fish, the females are simply in great shape to feed their young.
When pups are born the mothers spin round to sniff them and get to know their smell. The pups are covered in fluffy white fur, not good camouflage on sand or pebbles you might think, but that's because it's a relic from the ice age when they would have been born on snow!
Female grey seals are dedicated parents, spending several weeks feeding their pups and losing up-to 65kg in the process. The pups drink two and a half litres of milk every day and it's so rich pups can grow by as much as 30kg in two weeks.
After a month or so, females leave their pups and head back out to sea where they feed and mate again. The pups can spend up to two weeks all alone on the beach while they build up the courage (and the right fur) to take the plunge into the sea and learn to fish for themselves.

Birds of prey are fascinating and majestic animals. They can generally be defined as birds that feed on animals that they catch alive. Representatives of these two orders can be found almost everywhere in the world. Although these groups are distantly related, the behavioural and anatomical characteristics they share appear to be mainly the result of parallel evolution.

The Eurasian eagle-owl (Bubo bubo) is a species of eagle-owl that resides in much of Eurasia. It is also called the Uhu and it is occasionally abbreviated to just the eagle-owl in Europe. It is one of the largest species of owl, and females can grow to a total length of 75 cm (30 in), with a wingspan of 188 cm (6 ft 2 in), with males being slightly smaller. This bird has distinctive ear tufts, with upper parts that are mottled with darker blackish colouring and tawny. The wings and tail are barred. The underparts are a variably hued buff, streaked with darker colouring. The facial disc is not very defined and the orange eyes are distinctive.
