He had been sitting/lounging here, looking out into the yard, and down over the valley, for hours, yesterday. Here, he is just settling down for a wee sleep, having decided that the new bed is comfortable and warm. His eyes aren’t fully closed - he knew I had the camera in my hand...

When you rescue a stray cat battered and injured, you take it to treatment and the vet tells you "this cat can never stay at home is too aggressive", but you and the cat do not understand it because you speak another language, made of patience and trust, of looks and purr.
Quando soccorri un gatto randagio malandato e ferito, lo porti a far curare e ti dicono "non potrà mai stare in casa è troppo aggressivo", ma tu e il gatto non lo capite perché parlate un'altra lingua, fatta di pazienza e fiducia, di sguardi e fusa.

This little guy was sleeping in some slight shade in this tucked away corner of a building. I thought the message was clear!

They were playing with a piece of paper that originally said 50% Off! Now it looks like Off as in Joey get off my back! lol But really he was leaning on the side of the chair.
This photo has a story. Phoebe was taking a nap on the chair in the living room and Joey had gone into the bedroom to nap. When I saw that Joey wasn't with Phoebe, I went looking for him and found him on the bed.
I asked Joey, "What are you doing alone? You always nap with your sister, Phoebe." Then I went to the bathroom to wash my hands. Well smart little Joey jumped off the bed, found Phoebe and went to sleep with her!!
They are pair bonded and Joey loves his sister very much. He cuddled up with her after she had her spay surgery until she felt better.
Nothing is more relaxing than watching a sleeping cat. Thanks everyone for viewing, faving and commenting on my images. Stay well and safe. Happy Holidays.

Well it does makes things difficult for me to type whenever he plops in front of the monitor though. 🤔
For true comfort, try a bed of peanuts, guaranteed to provide you with a perfect sleep....so says the cat. But remember, not shelled peanuts.....
