Sunday sunshine and two out of three sleeping blissfully. It won’t last long, but it’s perfect while it does.
I was never so beautiful as my dreams were........
During one of those " Under the affuence of incohol " conversations with two friends, brothers in fact,
the chat turned to dreams, after much thought provoking and quite serious supposition and theory expounding, i casually said, "In reality it is all probably just inconsequential sleep memory" ....... it didn't go down quite as well as the beer had. ;-))

Long-eared owl (Asio otus).
It is nocturnal and secretive, so unlikely to be seen other than on migration (when birds may turn up on coasts at any time of day) or when leaving or returning to a communal roost site in winter.
It breeds thinly across the UK with fewer birds in the south-west and Wales. Northern birds migrate southwards, including birds from Europe coming to spend the winter in the UK, while southern birds are residents and only move short distances to find food.
One from last weekend. I told you it was a good one.

When I was young I never dreamt that I would be able to see flamingos where I live. Now we are all used to having them around most of the year. I don't often photograph them, but last Friday it was impossible not to: the water stillness and the sleeping flamingos were an unforgatable and breathtaking scenery.

I went out to Alviso for a walk about and shoot a few years ago and they had the parking lot and some of the trails blocked off. One of them by this monster. Seeing it in near silhouette made me think of a sleeping giant, waiting for its people to come back and help it feed on whatever earth its moving.
