Stepped way out of my comfort zone last week and joined an urban portrait meet in Seattle's International District. Portrait work is pretty foreign for me but once the initial awkwardness wore off, it was awesome. I mean at the end of the day, photography is photography. You have a subject and make the necessary adjustments for a proper composition and exposure.
The model in frame is Shish and this happened to be her first time joining a meet like this as well. Needless to say, she slayed.

Kingdom Doll Athena the second in the "OO Fabulous" series of dolls....... is ready for a new mission in "Slay Another Day"
Cochin hosts a carnival every year in the last week of December and it runs with the New year.
While the hangovers dry out on the 1st of January from the excesses of the night before and the bonhomie of the New yearās wishes are at its pleasant highs, the Carnival starts off around 4 o clock in the evening in the Fort Kochi area.
The carnival has its roots in the 1500-1600 era when the Portugese colonialists were the rulers of the pepper and spice trade running out of India. Cochin was their head quarters and as is to be believed, the New Year parties of the Portugese were all night affairs and an event to show case their wealth and style.
The Dutch took over Cochin in mid 1600 and they and many others who came after them were mere enactments of history. But what the Portugese began as a New year party has come to stay and has now turned into a gala carnival quaint and sweet in its Indian setting.
The carnival is not on the grand scale of the Rio spectacle but smaller and has a heady mix of the New Year festivities with the old and the conventional themes and culture of India.
Here is a shot of a Lady Slayer of demons and such vile creatures from the mythological rendition of Hindu religion. Durga stands tall and spits fire and brim with her eyes as she impales some hapless demon with her forked spear.

With this empty oil train following a hot Z-train westbound out of Aurora, I thought there would be little chance of catching up...but a few hiccups down the line required this stop at Big Rock for a short while, allowing myself and others to slay the beast as it sat, and then continued on with more delays to come.
Slaying tonight. I was told to dress to slay tonight soo that's what i did. In 2017 artist John Hayes created the longest wood sculpture in the world representing a `Dragon Slayer` Viking sword. It lies next to the ruins of Greyfriars Abbey in Waterford, Ireland.

After reading up on TCAsupreme lego and his awesome character Ryan/Crimson Slayer. I decided to make my own version of the character (with permission of course lol)!
Now yeah I know I need to fix the cape I'm still a novice at painting! XD

Here's a similar but slightly different version of the characters backstory! :)
When Ryan Cassie's parents were brutally murdered by The Dark Sun (a secret evil society) he fell into a deep depression for years, living with his aunt and drinking to forget his pain the poor troubled soul was lost. Until Ryan finally went out with his friends one evening.
Stephan, Daisy and Sam took Ryan to the park and after a great time went home to Ryans aunts house. Unforntunetly a shadowed figure, the same kind of mysterious being who murdered his parents as a child, broke in and killed Stephan then injuring the rest if the crew.
Ryan and the figure had a fight and Ryan felt a rush like no other. All his built up anger and hatred from his childhood trauma was released through each punch of Ryans fist. Unfortunately Ryan was injured and the figure escaped, when Ryan talked with his friend Sam about the feeling Sam introduced Ryan to his eccentric uncle (Jack) in Bludhaven who he thought could help out Ryan.
Jack is part of a vigilante group called The Valkyrie squad and when they agreed to take Ryan out on a mission to take out the villain called Two Face. However Two Face had some henchmen with Ceramic Metal reinforced armour which proved to be resistant to The V squads guns. The Squad was pinned down however Ryan used his courage to make it across to a crate of explosives and threw them at the henchmen taking out most of them. Fortunately The Boogey Man was also prepared to battle Two Face and took out the henchmen and killed Two Face saving the squad.
The Boogey Man was impressed by Ryans bravery and when Ryan took the opportunity to ask The Boogey Man to train him and pitched his plot to find the figure who killed his parents and his friend Stephen. The Boogey Man was skeptical but agreed to helping out Ryan. Ryan used some of The Valkyrie technology to make a costume and came up with the name "The Crimson Slayer" then joined The Boogeyman on a few drug busts and arms deals until he was deemed ready to join The Boogeyman in the battle against crime and to also help Ryan find the culprit who killed his parents and friend Stephan.

So originally I was looking at concept sketches and the Slayer was definitely sand green in those, and also was so in the first game. It was an obvious choice! And sand green has those 1x2 wedge curved slopes hybrids, fantastic little pieces - olive doesn't.
The decision to swap to olive was done when the model had most of the instructions done, so it was a HUGE change - ultimately, however I think it was well worth it.
