Slash and burn agriculture "tavy" is responsible for the continuing deforestation of Madagascar. This was happening right on the edge of Montagne d'Ambre National Park - "protected" areas are not fully protected from tavy and illegal logging.
As promised the closer photo of the slash burn. Its had to shoot a long exposure .6 seconds with at 300mm without a tripod, but it turned out fairly sharp. I got down on my belly, and shot from the ground to get better support. I hope to get a tripod soon which would make slow long shots like this one a lot easier.

This is another old drawing from around 2005 I think. I don't really buy into celebrity stuff so I was really struggling for someone to practice my drawing, but since he was clearly the coolest and I played a little guitar myself I thought I would make him my subject. That's why there are so many drawings of him. I'm not stalking him or anything, I can't even find his house. Not since he had to move anyway.
I assume he's called Slash because Colon would be a stupid name.

As you may know I am attempting to follow Goose through his 365 as closely as possible while still keeping a twist on things. As this was Friday the 13th(+24) I decided to do a collaboration image with Goose. This is as far from his versions as I will get and only on "special" days.
