Theme #32: Where I live
This is the Toledo Skyline. You wlll notice the construction. We used to have an old steam plant and now Promedica Health System is renovating and moving in. They are also building a parking garage on the left of this picture, which is now part of the skyline. Promedica is taking over Toledo. Maybe that is good and maybe it is not, but as they say: the times they are a changing. I feel that hospitals used to be just places where people went to get well and now they are big businesses. They employ a lot of people and support the city, so maybe it is a good thing. The verdict is still out on that one.
In this photo the incredible skyline of Frankfurt am Main, one of the most important german city. Taken from the Eiserner Steg, in january 2018.

A standout of the London skyline is the Shard, a 95 storey building that as the name suggest looks like a ‘shard of glass’. This structure is so imposing that I was able to capture the top of it as we travelled east on the Thames River into the wharf district. Ironically Metropolitan Wharf is on the north bank of the Thames and the Shard is on the south bank. I had to look at a map to put this into perspective for myself. I love the contrast between these old industrial buildings from the 1800s with this piece of modern architecture.
