I found this pepper while preparing dinner last night. It appeared to me to be doing sit ups and trying to keep fit. It's a cute little sweet pepper.
Sethi's morning workout was interrupted by Tofu who (as usual) was lurking nearby and watching his cousin. It''s difficult to concentrate on your situps while you are under observation ... :)
Arkon is very smart and very food motivated! But he is very sleepy today - probably a combination of the steroids and the vaccines he got at the vet yesterday. A happy, les itchy sleepy boy!

Adagio: would knock politely at amara's door. the gesture gentle and polite. she'd step back from teh door, her crystal clera voice chiming musically against the steel door. "Hello there darling, I brought you something." She'd smile gently taking a small piece of genger and rubbing it briefly on a few spots around her neck and behind her ears like a perfume.
Amara unshackled the handcuff binding her to the suitcase and opened the door. Immediately, she slanted her head to give the slender women a gentle welcoming kiss. "Long time no see, love. I brought a few things for you as well." Her eyes narrowed lightly at the scent of ginger on Adagio's neck, a light approving hum coming from her lips. "How have you been?"
Adagio: would give a soft smile to amara, a bright smile coming to her face feeling the lips against hers. she'd linger with the kiss for a few minutes just enjoying teh feeling, it had been too long."thank you very much darling, but the only thing you needed to bring was yourself." She'd smile gently giving a soft smile. "Well I've been good. been focusing les son my muscles and mor eon ballet and cardio. I won't be putting you thos egrueling weight routines unless you want to do that anymore. This also means fewer situps."
Amara chuckled at this, letting her arms settle around the other's hips. "I don't mind the sit-ups so much now. After the physicals the board put me through, those workouts were likely more beneficial than I realized." Her head motioned to the boxes. "Most of that stuff is for the Pack or the hospital, given what hasn't already been delivered. Various types of katanas, kunai, and other fine weaponry courtesy of the Japanese branch." As she spoke, she seemed to sway gingerly with a gentle smile on her face. "I missed you, Adagio."
Adagio: would smile a little bit giving a soft chuckle. "Well that's good to know, Im glad that the torture I put you through seems to have made a difference. We'll still do thos ethen, just not so many, Im trying to lose my ten pack actually. I spoke with temp, and well I realized that I looked prettier slim, than bulging. Especially since i prefer ballet rather than weights." She'd smile a little bit giving amara another soft kiss. "Oh you hav eno idea how much I misse dyou darling. in fact, i'd like to welcome you back properly if you're not against it?" she'd smile gently her bright sapphire eyes flicking to the bed.
Amara bit her lip at the suggestion, her hands clenching slightly on Adagio's belt. Every fiber of desire in her seemed to react with glee to Adagio's advance, but the hybrid had something else on her mind, something more important to her. "Umm before that," she'd step backwards, holding Adagio's hands in front of her. "I'd like to give you my vows first…since the opportunity was missed before I left." Amara raised the slender woman's hands, kissing both softly.
Adagio: would smile gently, her cheeks turning a deep shade of red. She'd smile gently a soft flutter rising up from her stomach at the statement. "Amara, i'd lovefor you to give me your vows. thank you."
Amara chuckled at the slow reddening flush of Adagio's cheeks, but took a few breaths to regain her composure. She just wanted to get through it all without crying. "I…It was a joy and a bit of gamble to ask you out back when we were coworkers. Relationships had always been a thing I shied away from…because of my own inner demons with what I was." She looked down a moment, her thumbs rubbing over Adagio's hands slowly. "Never had anyone showed me the kind of affection and love that you opened my heart to. It's allowed me to blossom as a person, as a lover, and as a caretaker." A slight crack in her voice was quickly put in check. She was not going to cry…not yet anyway.
Adagio: would sjust smile warmly, her thumbs slowly rolling over amara's fingers in her hand, the strong fingers feeling like they belonge din her grasp. her gaze would be kind and loving, the bright blue eyes filled with love and affection.
"I know I resisted heavily when you proposed to me, but it was only because I couldn't believe someone would see me in that manner. With all the oddities and uncertainties about me…" Amara admitted. No watery eyes yet, she'd glance over at the table where they had spoken often over tea and the occasional salad. "We have both spent a good portion of our lives in search of different things. Answers to internal questions and the like, but finding each other…that alone provided in a way answers to questions we'd never realized we had. Could I trust this person? Can I love this person? I never used to think of such things."
Adagio: would just smile softly, a few tears coming gently toher eyes, carrying the sweet biting scent of fresh ginger with them. She'd be smiling though, happier than any other time in her life, for once absolutely speechless at the devotion amara was showing to her.
Amara leaned forward, lightly kissing a few of the tears on Adagio's cheek as they streamed down. The fact Adagio was more emotional seemed to calm her down. "I vow to treasure you, this intelligent, glorious woman called Adagio with a uniquely logical mind. I vow to be honest, to not keep secrets. To be a valuable support beam when life's weight becomes too much." Her words were more of a whisper, loud enough just to pierce Adagio's ears. "I vow not to sneak fried foods into your dinner." she joked. "Most importantly, I give my heart, my mind, and soul purely and solely to you, my wife."
Adagio: would just smile broadly, her eyes shining brightly with tears leaking out gently and slowly. she'd smile and try wrapping her arms around amara to pull her towards her in a passionate kiss. All of her soul would be given to the woman in that one action. every fiber of her being carefully transferred to her in that one passionate act.
Amara made a muffled moan as her lips were claimed by the taller woman. With her hands now free, she slid them over Adagio's shoulders and around her neck, her right hand resting comfortably on Adagio's cheek. In between breaths, she'd whisper a soft "love you" as the kiss was extended. Her tongue easily invaded the depths of Adagio's mouth, the taste of spearmint still dancing on her lips. As far as the hybrid was concerned they could stay in this position for the rest of eternity and she'd be thrilled.
Adagio: would just smile gently to amara with the kiss. she'd gently caress the other woman's tongue. She'd just deepen the kiss, the taste of spearmint on her lips intoxicating her, she'd hungrily kiss the lips, as if she were trying to move that delicate sharp flavor from Amara's mouth into her own. She'd just smile gently breakin the kiss for a second. "This is what i've been missing amara, thank you."
Amara only smiled. "Sorry it took so long, Adagio." She playfully nipped at Adagio's lips as she tried to latch on to Amara's lips hungrily. She was feeling rather playful after finally getting those long held words off her chest. Her eyes moved to glance at the black engagement ring still on her finger. The symbolism behind meant to Amara than just a mere sign she was engaged; someone had accepted her as a person. Not a thing, a creature, or a lab rat, but an actual person. "Mmm…that reminds me. I was given the files on the memories the company removed from my mind. I…I actually know what my name is now."
Adagio: would smile gently to her looking at her from a bief distance, just madly in love with her right now. "Oh and what is it darling? I'd like to know what you learned. If it mean you know yourself better then I want to know it too." She'd smile lovingly planting another shorter kiss on her lips, the gesture kind and playful.
" My parents were Marion and Ashley Dubois." Amara said proudly. "And their only daughter was Amara Micheline Dubois. It seems I have a French background I was not aware of." Her gaze followed the longing stare she received in return. She was becoming emotional now, a few stray tears leaving her eyes. She had been overjoyed just to know she had a surname, but now there was an entire history waiting to be rediscovered. "So…" she asked between planting light kisses. " Will it be Mrs. And Mrs. Anselm or Mrs. And Mrs. Dubois?"
Adagio: smiles gently looking to amara loving. She'd smile gently kissing the tears off of amaras cheeks. "You know, we don't have to decide that just yet darling. Maybe never, maybe not until we decide to have a child?" she'd just hold Amara gently giving a soft chuckle. "Don't be shocked, that was just hypothetical. it's just i spoke with sister D and she says that the church doesn't marry people of teh same sex, or that can't procreate. and as far as im concerned, we only meet one of the criteria listed. and I think that we can get around that."
Amara 's grin widened at that comment. "Never tell two geneticists they can't procreate." She laughed lightly, nuzzling against Adagio's nose. "I don't mind children, but what about you? I'm surprised more by the fact you brought up children before I did."
Adagio: would chuckle a little bit smiling gently. "That's exactly right Amara. never tell genetecists or cybernetecists what is impossible." She'd laugh gently enjoying the touch of Amara against her. "You know imnot sure, most of the ones around here are brats. but maybe if we raise our child to be intelligent, open minded, and actually polite. perhaps then I wouldn't mind so much. Though you'd have to carry them, if you even wante dto do so. i don't possess enough bodyfat. I've never even had a period."
For a brief moment, Amara felt jealous. "Lucky devil. No wonder you like situps. I would need to be cautious about becoming pregnant though. Given my body's current instability, it might be more difficult than last time." She became quiet then, accidentally reminding herself of her lost baby. With a low sigh, she squeezed against Adagio as she hugged her. "We can talk more about children later."
Adagio: nods a little bit giving a soft sigh. "The child would not need to be carried Amara. they could be grown in an artificial placenta at Ashagi. Im sure that Lithia would have few objections." She'd sigh a little bit. "But you're right amara, perhaps we shoudl talk about that later, w ehave mor ecatching up to do. So how was japan, and what were these physicals?"
Amara grimaced. "I prefer our child stay as far from a test tube as genetically allowed." She still had uncertainties about her workplace's involvement with children, and this was no different. Once the subject was thankfully changed, the frown on her face vanished. "Japan was beautiful, though I spent more time in the industrialized area of Tokyo. The physicals were part of a larger inspection. It seems Ashagi Corp. makes a point to know inside and out who and what is holding a key role in one of their branches. Bloodwork, examinations, and certification were all part of the physicals."

I sprained my back yesterday doing situps so i've got a day off. Though i'd might as well finish this since i won't have much time otherwise.
I think she looks too skinny here. :x
Aah i love the rp. Tyler and Jamie FTW! Go Aussies!
The ice pink lipstick arrived, but almost certainly will only 'go' with the honey blonde hair and a lighter colour dress.
I already decided to squeeze into this tiny Jane Norman number, and the wig is actually my second one this year...longer, a bit weighty (but in a way that feels good) and goes well with red lipstick.
As for my health...I forced myself out for a woodland walk, did some situps, and kicked the punch bag for a while!
Love to you all xx

Take a photo of your dog today that makes you happy! Remember to have fun with it!
Spanky will do anything for a treat, and lately he's been trying his best to "sit up."
He doesn't stay up for long (I think it is hard for him to balance because of his skinny little butt...) but he was up long enough for me to get this picture this morning. Made me smile; hope it makes you smile, too!
It has been over a year since I first met Jay aka "Ironman" aka "Sodaman." I find him at all hours pushing around his shopping cart filled with scrap metal and wires. He is a talker and will happily tell stories all day and night.
I am certain about a few things; the rest is clouded in a haze of story telling. He is 72, he is homeless, he has been in Hunts Point for over 40 years, and his father worked all his life at the fish market. He was born in South Carolina: His parents had a real shotgun wedding—his mom was 12 when she got pregnant with him. He was in the army. He rides a unicycle with expertise. He is very good with the hoops, and he does 100 pushups, situps, and chinups every day.
I do really hope he recorded a rap album under the name of Cinderfella and I do really hope he played on a team of unicyclist against the Harlem Globetrotters reguarly, as he said he did.
All the shop and warehouse workers and owners in the industrial part of Hunts Point know him and love talking to him, like I do, but otherwise he is a loner. "I like it outside, it relaxes me."

These are my second favourite set of muscles to exercise...
I can't believe I've got all the way to day 344 before doing this shot - as it's one of my most frequent, favourite workout regimes. (I guess Im nearing the end!!!)
Those of you lucky enough to know me in real life, will have been on the receiving end of my first favourite muscle group to excercise which, of course, are - my jaw muscles!

What can I say… Well how about "damn that took me a long time" I had no real idea what I was doing when I set out late last night to capture what would end up being not only day 173 but yet another photoshop marathon piece! I had taken a short nap after dinner to see if I could "dream" again and of course failed to do so. When I awoke I had the idea to do some sort of burning or disintegrating man shot.
I had walked out of my room and saw a strange guy in my kitchen. My mother introduced him but not why he was in the kitchen. After I questioned her about it she explained that it was a nightclub photographer giving her photos for her website. Another photographer in my house! Oh the nerve! Naw, but really it was cool. I like talking "shop" with other photogs. Too bad he had to leave.
Well, I set up 1 light then figured i'd get a rim light so I setup a second. Not long after the second went up I decided that I had already set most of the gear up, I might as well put the backdrop up and third light. I was now setup fully and ready to capture what would soon be me, burning!
I decided that I would have my shirt off for this shot. Something I rarely do as I like both cheese and Guinness too much. But since I've been laying off pepsi and beer and cheese for a few weeks I figured why not show the world what will power and photoshop can do. Of course I busted out a few pushups, situps and pullups before taking any shots. Wouldn't want to look deflated! Exercising outside got me sweaty and worked out well for the shot.
After I was done, I setup for some smoke and fire shots. I already have a decent stock of fire and smoke but decided a little more couldn't hurt. The smoke shots were taken at 1/250 sec while the fire shots were taken at 1/1000 in an attempt to freeze the fire in place. I only burned my hand twice this time. I'm getting better I tell you! it was February 4th the last time I played with fire and you can really tell I know what I'm doing. I even got a bowl of water this time so I could but the fire out after I'm done with it.
From that point it was off to photoshop. This would prove to be more time consuming then both the alien and old man mike shots. I took my time as I was not sure what direction I was going to take it. Hell, I didn't even know how far I was willing to go. However, once I started, I couldn't stop! It was just too much fun!
I think my biggest accomplishment tonight was making the burning skin texture used on my arm. I had looked up several reference photos of lava and decided I could do something similar in photoshop. Now, this is where I surprised myself. With a 50% grey layer I preceded to build a skin texture in one fluid motion. There was no deleting, trial an error or starting over. For some reason I just went through the filters like I had done this a million times. I was shocked at how perfect it came out! It took me less then 1 minute and I was ready to use it.
I researced burning flesh and people for "realism" it was pretty distrubing. But then again, today's picture is disturbing in its self!
With over 50 layers I'd say this is top 3 largest files I've made. I originally edited it in portrait mode but after finishing decided to expand it to landscape as I am just a big fan of landscape aspect.
I've now been up through the night and am ready for some sleep. Hopefully I'll be ready to tackle Day 174 shortly after awaking. I hope you all like it. I would appreciate comments and critique as this was tough to call quits on. What do you think?

Cyber Syncs for triggering.
I used to 4x4 foam core boards as Gobos to kill light spill and flare from the edge lights. Sometimes I use the softbox grids but today I was too lazy to go get them.
Sit ups ain't that easy.

Like many in the computer industry, I graduated from college thin and fit, but since then, through years of all-nighters, sitting in front of my screen for long hours, and a rich diet I became overweight. I went from 190 to 242 pounds as I grew into each role: graphic designer, user interface designer, customer experience researcher, businessperson, husband, father, and community member. Last Fall I said, "Enough already!"
Recently I decided that working standing up would help me live a more active life. It's worked. Along with meditating, running, hiking, and kayaking, working standing up (with hourly interludes of pushups, situps or yoga) I've dropped 30 pounds. My thinking is clearer for longer and you're more likely to find me with things in perspective.
I'm fortunate enough to work at home above Chuckanut Bay in Bellingham, Washington.
This stand up desk is a piece of cedar with its live edge intact. On it I have room for a Dell 24" monitor as well as my MacBook Pro, and my good old Monsoon sound system. The hard drive holds the documentary I am working on called "Stumblebum".
My family watches DVDs here as well. We haven't adopted the big screen tv model yet as we all have such different tastes we're more likely to pair off and just watch on one person's laptop or another.
Five laptops add up to one big screen tv, don't they?

Fat man in Split, Croatia watches tourist pass by. Maybe he is a tourist, too. I don't know. What once was a six pack, is now a keg. I know from first hand experience exactly what it means to loose the six pack.
People often think Americans are fat but in Croatia, I saw a lot of fat non-Americans.
The fat guy reminds me of the phrase I often heard about the large financial institutions and American auto companies: 'They're too big to fail." I happen to think "they're too big to survive." Government has broken capitalism by protecting the failures. Shame on them. The reality was they they're "too big to JAIL."
