Sometimes I see potential in a photo for these effects. Sometimes I just go willy nilly and see what happens. Sometimes I just put the photo in the trash and start over.

This is done using a layer mask and blur effect in Photoshop Elements.

The rain was very close , but so was the sun that was to follow, so just turn your back, and wait for the show to start. What a situation is an old reggae track by Slim Smith, and is fine as i always seem to relish situations like these.

This was a bit challenging as I am not easily embarrassed. However getting this shot did make me a we bit uncomfortable.

The neighbour across the street had their sprinkler going and I thought it would make a good *rain* shot for my newest little car. So there I am - laying flat on my stomach in the grass shooting this. On a hot sunny day. With lots of people about looking at me quite strangely :)

Probably not the situation where you'd love to be a fly on the wall...Scissor-tailed Flycatcher on the hunt along Rettilon Road on Bolivar Peninsula, Galveston County, Texas.

A woman walked down to the shore of the green space with her dog, off leash. The dog proceeded to run out after this egret, causing it to relocate. She tried calling it back, but it would have nothing to do with her. She needs to use that leash, as required by law!!! First comment is moments before, as the dog charges...

➤ Create a still life containing at least five items that make you happy.

"Traveling makes me happy. I've been lucky to have visited many different countries, and each culture has been very special to me. Pictured above are some items that make me happy in this time of few travel opportunities...The photo of Notre Dame was taken in Paris before the fire, and has been in my photostream. The Russian nesting doll, or matryoshka, is a favorite from St. Petersburg. The hand painted cross came from a market in Slovakia, and the beautiful rosary was purchased in a shop near the Vatican. The little blue dish is from Limoges, the painted shoes from the Netherlands. A huge market in Budapest was home to the lovely painted egg. So....this is a small part of my collection which now brings me many happy memories."

A horror for every woman...

...but just get the best out of every bad situation and stay relaxed... my new resolution for this year... ;-)

While they come in all varieties of somewhat freaky-looking spiders, orb weavers--like our famous friend from 'Charlotte's Web'--are considered harmless to people. The only way one is likely to cross you is by building a web you don't see before accidentally walking through it! And the Spiny Orbweaver (Gasteracantha cancriformis) takes the extra step of putting tufts of silk out on its webs to help us spot them. After all, a lot of work goes into these constructions, the last thing they need is for us to come loping--or birds to go flying--through them.

Great Horned Owl on Saguaro - Photographed in fading light, I did not want to crank up the ISO any higher then necessary (the higher the ISO, the more potential for noise corruption in the image file.) Using a tripod, I used a low f-stop and a low shutter speed to let in as much light as possible into the camera. A 200 shutter speed is not recommended for hand held (with no flash), but works well on a tripod for low light situations.

Great Egrets, habitat is Marshes, ponds, shores, mud flats. Usually forages in rather open situations, as along edges of lakes, large marshes, shallow coastal lagoons and estuaries; also along rivers in wooded country.

Realising the situation they were in with traction shortages, BDZ - in addition to the new Smartron machines - had some older Skoda machines overhauled. Some went to CZ Loko in Prerov, Czechia and others went to ZOS in Vrutky, Slovakia. These machines were all stripped down to a bare shell and then rebuilt as new. There is a giveaway as to which location they went to - the Czech machines retain the original round buffers but the Slovaks fitted new buffers - square with an extra diagonal on the inner end.

44 180 was one of the Czech rebuilds and it is seen here shortly before the stop of Thompson with BV 2602 Varna to Sofia via Gorna Oryahovitsa.
