A vew from the opposite bank of this wonderful bridge.

I could just sit there forever, and let it all flow over me!

By the way, Ive just replaced the vertical photo with this same view, which is wide angle and is probably better I think!!

Ill find out!

Have a great one my friends!

Pat.

This is my fave view if the bridge but people seem to prefer the other photo. Maybe its that this one is slightly hazy and the bridge is not so distinct. Isnt it wonderful how peoples taste vary? Have a great day everybody! Pat.

Clun Castle sits high on a natural rocky mound in a loop of the river Clun, on the edge of the small, picturesque town of the same name. Founded shortly after the Norman Conquest to demonstrate the authority of the English monarchy over this part of the border region, the castle and the nearby settlement prospered in the 13th century thanks to the management of the Fitzalan family, but suffered a number of attacks from across the Welsh border. It was used as a hunting lodge in the 14th century, but was increasingly neglected, and by 1539 the castle was reported as ruinous.

Back to the lone tree at Findon in Sussex, the sun gave a nice display and lit up the Buttercups on the side of the hill.

Theodore Roosevelt

The slogan 'The buck stops here' is a promise that responsibility will not be passed on to anyone else. What's the origin of the phrase 'The buck stops here'? U.S. president Harry S. Truman had a sign on his desk with 'The buck stops here' inscribed on it.

NBC News’ Kristin Welker asked the president(Trump) if he is to blame for the lag in testing. “No, I don’t take responsibility at all,” he responded before quickly moving to his tried and true strategy: blame Obama. “We were given rules, regulations, and specifications from a different time.”

But that simply isn’t true. No remaining Obama-era regulation has prevented the administration from rolling out tests.

VOTE!! RESIST!! kick our president out of office at the polls!! stay safe and well :-)

I sit on the banks of the fast flowing

river, dipping my feet in the ice cold

water. I feel the cold tingle through me.

There's a mischief to it, that's infectious.

I splash the water on my face. The layers

of dirt on my heart washed, I feel alive.

Standing in the blazing light is making many things more exhausting, not only to see. That applies to photographing as well as to many other parts of our lifes. Thats why many of us are prefering standing in the shadow, where its easier, safer. As You can see, I do belong to them, not all the time but still a lot. I feel and I know, that I'm not designated to sit here but to stand up and step outside near the edge into the sun. I know, that I wish to be the tree in front and not the rock behind me. What I am waiting for ?

Happy Macro Mushroom Monday! But... You could also call this type of mushroom a toadstool... and a stool is something you sit on... just like a bench... so HBM too!

Stronachlachar sits on the western end of Loch Katrine where you can also find the famous Pier Cafe, and just off shore is the “Factor’s Island” or (Eileen Dharag) where Rob Roy MacGregor imprisoned the Duke of Montrose’s Factor or rent collector after a long running dispute with the Duke. The large house on the right is “Lochside House” which can be rented, it has the most stunning, tranquil setting right on the edge of Loch Katrine in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. This whole area is walking, running, birdwatching country for anyone loving the great outdoors.
