Tito Presi (Orio Presi, Bologna, 20/12/1945 – Marina di Massa, 29/12/2020), a singer from Bologna. In this photograph we see what truly defined him: passion transformed into voice, total presence, unwavering dedication. He did not merely perform songs — he inhabited them. Every performance was a full, direct, human act. His interpretations remain available online for those who wish to listen.

Last week I had an awesome time photographing local singer/songwriter and soon-to-be-Berklee-School-of-Music-grad Liz Longley. She's a mixture of Patty Griffin, Sara Bareilles, with a touch of Jewel, Allison Krauss and a dash of Sarah Mclachlan.
While we were shooting, she was doing some rehersals for her sold out performance at Studio 99 here in Nashua, and she blew me away with her voice.
We're going to hopefully be working together a bit before she heads on to Nashville this fall, and we've already got a location shoot booked once the weather gets warmer.
I had an absolutely awesome time photographing her, and then being able to listen to her concert at Studio 99. I'm also looking forward to a great professional relationship with her in the future.

Liz did a fantastic job as we did a few locations in Nashua, then jetted over to the Merrimack River near the Heritage Trail in Bedford NH.

This year I started to reach out to people whom I've admired for a long time and ask if I could take their portrait.
Jennifer Kimball is a singer/songwriter who was a member of the band "The Story" in the early 1990's. She was in "The Story" with another singer I just recently photographed, Jonatha Brooke.
I'm not sure how it worked out that I was able to photograph both of them in the same week. It was amazing.
Jennifer is working with another musician I've worked with in the past. When I learned of this connection, I reached out to that mutual friend and asked if he thought Jennifer might be receptive if I reached out to her.
So I did.
She said yes.
She spent the day with me at the studio. We took things organically. I got to just play around, which is always refreshing.
I started the session very nervous, and ended the session with a new friend.
I was able to meet and work with Jennifer through the power of photography. It's amazing.

Nicole Plummer is a Classical Mezzo-Soprano studying at the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami.
She reminded me of the days I spent with my dear friend and singer/songwriter, Amy Petty, and words can't express how much inspiration I find from people following and developing their ability to communicate creatively.
Nicole was home for Christmas break and her parents gifted her a headshot session so she could have a new headshot to return to school with.
She was a ray of sunshine the whole time she was in the studio.
She did awesome.

Craig was formerly a dancer, and you can tell just watching how gracefully he moves. I've known a few dancers throughout my life, and you can tell a dancer; they just have a certain body type and a subtle way they carry themselves. Its very cool.
Craig has been writing songs and performing for a long time, but is now giving it his all; a new website, a cd, moving to another part of the country, etc. Craig came to me for some images that he can use on his soon-to-be-released website. Something simple, clean and sharp.
