A cloudy morning at Moraine Lake. Patience finally paid off with a break in the low clouds allowing a couple of the "ten peaks" to come forth crowning this misty morn.

Mother Nature can be hard to explain, she is a figure who symbolizes our earth and the beauty of nature. Many see her as our supreme mother, who has created the wonders and gifts of nature that we are so lucky to live among.
"Mother Nature is always speaking. She speaks in a language understood within the peaceful mind of the sincere observer."

So Sincere is a Leucospermum lineare hybrid of the Proteaceae family, decorated with striking and exotic pincushion flowers. It is a prolific flowering shrub that blooms in spring time.

While I heard them buzzing around in mid-April before we left for Florida, I wasn't able to get the hummingbird feeders out until we got back last week. It seemed like only minutes before they were happily slurping away. Here, a male broadtail takes a brief respite before continuing to feed and buzzing the other hummingbirds. So much fun to watch!

The Gannet is surely Bempton's signature bird. Looking every bit like something from prehistory. They are however a beautiful and elegant bird.
The northern gannet is the largest of the gannet family and native to the Atlantic Ocean.

FACTS:
Bizarre and unmistakable small gray woodpecker. Note broad black stripe down middle of crown and back. Cryptic plumage and sluggish habits make it easily overlooked. Favors open country with scattered trees, orchards, farmland; nests in tree cavities. Feeds mostly on the ground, probing with its long tongue for ants; hops with deliberate, rather jerky motions, often twitching its tail and turning its head. Song is a rising series of high, piercing notes, similar to that of a falcon.

First of all, my sincere apologies for the lack of activity. And I'm afraid, this will probably be how it will be for now, given how busy things have turned! Never mind, I'm sure there's light at the end of this proverbial tunnel!
