During a tour of Kings Canyon near Alice Springs, Northern Territory, Australia, I happen upon the great fortune of meeting Dave, tour guide for Emu Run Tours. As luck would have it, I was the only one for the tour and the 12 hours we spent together were fulled full of interesting conversation. Dave is a good mate!

Our house cat, named Buddy, image from 2012. Had forgotten this bw-conversion until today. Took this with the lens wide open at f/1,4, so not much is in focus. Bw calms it down, as our cat is rather orange. Edit in Elements 8.

For 900 years, the estate has been a stage for drama, intrigue and romance while the surrounding landscape has fuelled industrial revolution. The house has survived terrible fires, military occupation and potential ruin.' NT
