While we were watching the Queen's Gambit on Netflix, some locations seem to be familiar to us. Some places that were supposed to be foreign, like Moscow and Mexico City, looked like places we recognized from our daily life here in Berlin. With this thought in mind, we decided to look for Queen's Gambit locations, and the first place we visited was the Methuen Home orphanage, also known as Schloss Schulzendorf.
On a cold Saturday morning, in November 2020, we took our cameras and our drone and headed south of Berlin to the town of Schulzendorf where this large house can be found. We took a train from Neukölln to the new BER airport, there we met with our friends from Canal Alemanizando. Finally, we headed by bus to the first of many Queen's Gambit Locations in Berlin.

This is one of the most unusual waterfalls to be found anywhere. The falls splits in two at the top. The fork seen in the foreground of the picture continues to flow down the Brule River, while the other fork empties into the cauldron that gives the falls their name, the outlet of which has never been determined. Ping pong balls and dyes thrown in by researchers disappeared rather than show up downstream.
Also while I was bored and in the car alone, I experimented, and shot a cafe scene through the side view mirror.
Traditionally, Chinese, Japanese, and Korean are written vertically in columns going from top to bottom and ordered from right to left with each new column starting to the left of the preceding one. Align your thinking with ours with turquoise blue snaps, thread, and cotton velour that set off these characters on charcoal woven cotton to perfection.

It's about 80 degrees outside today; however, I am feeling a bit cold. Sometimes life does that... but it's just temporary.
