今晚看了好友借我的DVD "Side Effects"，我只知道男主角是Jude Law，後來看啊看的發現女配角很漂亮，瞄了DVD封面簡介才知道是凱薩琳麗塔瓊斯（我一向不喜歡看DVD之前先看簡介）。我必須非常嚴肅地再次重申好友對於電影挑選的品味，只能用無懈可擊四個字形容。絕不是因為好友挑選的冷門藝術電影裝文青（其實據我觀察他根本不太看藝術電影），而是那種sense會讓我驚呼：到底他是從哪些管道知道有這些電影啊？ "Side Effects"讓人坐立難安，也勾起我大學時代習過變態心理學以及回想起在醫院精神科實習的那些時光。每個人都堅決否認自己有病，卻每個人也都可以是深具潛力的瘋子。看完這部影片老媽老弟與我彷彿於內心巧妙地扮演一回。

My laptop sits atop a footstool about 9 inches high; my mouse and mouse pad top a mini-drawer assembly about 6.5 inches high. It takes me less than a minute to convert to this makeshift "standing desk" from my regular sitting position and vice-versa.
This is one response to the osteopenia found in my right hip after my recent bone scan. I added my DIY standing desk set-up after reading Ian Johnston’s article in The Independent. Reporting on a study conducted in the UK, Johnston writes, "Office workers should abandon their chairs for half their working day to reduce their risk of heart attacks, cancer, or diabetes, according to new guidance recommending people spend at least two hours – and preferably four – a day on their feet."
The anastrazole I'm on to try to prevent cancer recurrence includes bone thinning as a potential side effect; the standing desk arrangement is one of my weight-bearing activities for bone health. I blog about this in more detail in my entry, "Stand."

I arrived at the front side of the building, but was a few doors down. When trying to navigate to the front door, Brian thought I was back here so he advised I could drive around. I came straight to the back door. My tour started here where Tom, Darcy, Katy and Brian came to greet me :)
Brush & ink, scanned into computer, and colored with Painter 11 software. It's the first time I digitally painted a cartoon on the computer. Also used: Wacom Intuos 4. it was great having no mess to clean up afterwards like with real paints.

I always find it funny when commercials for a drug come on and talk about how great their product is and then when describing the side effects they always mention death. Death is something that I'd really like to avoid.
All the paper from the top down to the first flag comprise my typed, printed side effects reports from 16 cycles of chemo (4 of Adriamycin/Cytoxan plus 12 of Taxol). Dates covered include May 8 through October 22, 2014. (Taxol cycles were one week in length; my last Taxol infusion occurred on October 16.) In addition to the side effects themselves, the reports include my daily weight, temperature, food and water intake, bowel movements, exercise, and meds taken. The flags mark the start of different handwritten logs that were then incorporated into the typed reports.
