My son and his wife are expecting their first baby in June...a girl! Today the hostesses got together at my house to plan her baby shower and get the invitations ready to mail. So much fun!!

Angel is a 14 year old Umbrella Cockatoo. He likes to sit on the shower curtain rod when I'm in the shower before I put his fluffy white ass in the water. Afterwards, he likes to dry off in a towel for as long as possible... or at least until he has to poop. :) Then he goes back to his cage to dry off and "brag" to Romeo (another U2, and partner in noise) that he got attention from Daddy.
I thought Angel would be nervous and fidgety around the lights and diffused speedlight, but in his towel, nothing can hurt him. He sat for a good 20 to 25 shots before he decided it was time to potty.
I liked those bathroom tiles. Not the least because they were cool in this hot tropical city!

Not exactly what I wanted the picture to look like, but it's hard to frame something like this. I didn't really want to try to readjust the camera after my hands were wet.
Today was filled with work and homework (which is still going on, and probably will continue for a while). I found a neat iPhone game for you to try if you like Risk: Strategery. It's basically the same thing with hexagons instead of countries, it will definitely keep me occupied next time I'm bored. Alright, I'll admit that I've played a few rounds of it when I should have been doing homework, but oh well. After I finish typing this, I'll get back to work.
I've been looking at different lenses online in hopes that one day when I have (a lot of) money to spend, I can finally get some good glass. I really want to try out the 70-200mm f/2.8 or f/4 IS, they seem to be pretty sweet lenses. The f/4 non-IS is only $600, but I'm sure the IS would come in handy when shooting action or in low-light situations. Which brings up another point. It's sad that I just said that the lens was "only" $600. That's the bad part about photography, it can be quite an expensive venture.
