I've always loved Dennis Brown, he's just got a great voice. This album is on the Yvonne's Special label from Canada, features 6 tracks inna showcase style. Great stuff from start to finish with my favorites being "Stage Coach" which shares the same riddim as Earl Cunningham's - Words of The Father, and "Perhaps". A solid effort from Dennis and the cover is great!
I was planning not to publish any more photographs of this event but I was contacted by some who were disappointed because they could not find any photographs of their stand. So here are some more images.

If you want to know what rhythms were popular with the Gemini sound system in late '83 to early '84 then this set is a showcase in more than one way. The sound system launched their own label in '83 with Hugh Griffiths seminal »Chant Down Babylon« being the first release. The song, a tough rasta anthem over Heavenless, was gathered with five other U Griffiths songs for this set. Most of them having done the rounds as Gemini dubplates prior to this release. Some of the rhythms are classics such as »Sea Cruise« over Shank-I-Sheck or »Let Me Be« over Real Rock. But also roots man delights such as »Going Home« which is a nice next version of Earl Cunninghams »Cool Profile«.
It is also interesting to see how Hugh Griffiths had evolved from his first album for Tad's (which also is a bona fide set - check the cover with link in the comments) in finding his own vocal style. Only disappointment perhaps being the sometimes rather lightweight topics of choice by Hugh. Still the showcase is back to back dancehall niceness.
I really enjoy the cover art by the way. Budget seems to run 'ting and yet they come up with this fantastic, dare I even say elegant cover. I just love the bright yellow colour and choice of typography.

The house was built in 1899 in the Dutch Colonial Revival style. Designed by architectural firm Bliss & Faville. Their first major commission was for the St. Francis Hotel which opened in 1904. It burned in 1906 after the earthquake, & rebuilt.
Continuing the showcase of our "Oribana Charm" collection. Here is the dynamic Oribana arrangement we call "In Dancing Rhythms". The starring floral models are our Frittilaria with its delicate blue bell-shaped flowers, open star-blooms of Kaffir Lily with cup-shaped petals and attractive pouch-like flowers Calceolaria, accompanied by dancing Round Leaves. The container is our Low Oval Vase that has two in-built flower holders in it to make duet compositions. Used Japanese and Swedish paper for plants and the vase. Happy folding!
The diagrams are published in our ORIBANA CHARM
