In a leisurely hike on a trail that circles the Cedar Hill Golf Course we came upon these large (bread plate sized), perfect deep pink lilies. The whole stalk and arrangement was so beautiful, shot it as a bouquet.

Round 5 "Get Pushed" Challenge

For this round I was paired up with the sensational JennTakesPictures, whose photography is fresh and so very creative. I very much enjoyed looking through her photostream to find a suitable challenge for her. She came through with flying colors! :) - www.flickr.com/photos/57695238@N02/

Jenn found a really neat challenge for me, to create a polar panorama image. Before this, I'd never seen or heard of one before. When I saw the examples at the link she gave me, I was so impressed and very excited to give it a try. I'm a Photoshop newbie and honestly got a little nervous about trying to work my way through the program to do this challenge. For the most part, it was pretty simple getting through all the steps, however I did have some issues with making it seamless.

The original shot was a wide angle, long exposure that I snapped at Epcot's World Showcase Lagoon while waiting for the fireworks show to begin. I took that shot and cropped it into a 4x12 panoramic sized image while strategically lining up the ends at points which would best match each other when joined after distorting. Thanks Jenn for this awesome push, I learned a lot and had fun! I plan to do more of these in the future and perhaps add in some other elements once I get more comfortable with Photoshop.

Visit this location in Second Life

This is not a showcase as in a cars conference showcasing. On my way to Blackpoint to do wildlife photography, I spotted this car at a car repair shop. It was placed up front as an advertisement piece for the shop. I asked the mechanic in the shop if I can take few photos, and he said he had to ask the owner. Few minutes later, the owner showed up so I asked again, and his answer was yes. So I shot this car with my normal and with my IR Camera. Here it is shown from the IR photo. The only thing real about this photo is the car. The background is a stock canvas I have, the lights are from a different photo I took in a studio, and the palms are AI generated. The assembling of this photos, was done through photoshop, producing this car as if it is in showcase.

I admit, I have no idea, the make or the year of the car but its presence and beauty caught my eye.

I know it has been quite awhile for me to do another Showcase, but I have been quite busy lately so have not really had the time to put one together and I really don't want to be rushed and have to "quickly" throw something together as the artists deserve more time and effort than that.

For my second spotlight I would love to showcase Ella. I'm sure many of you already know who Ella is and if you are unsure you most definitely would have seen her grace the Explore pages. She is not only beautiful but an amazing photographer, just a few examples shown above. She is one of the Bokeh Wednesday Queen's without a doubt and always totally rocks it! Her children are amazingly gorgeous. I have to admit for awhile I thought she only had a daughter... lol I think she is more likely to get in front of mommy's camera than her big brother!! Unless you are a trusted friend you will no longer be able to view photos of her gorgeous kids as they are now private. She is a wonderful, caring woman and without a doubt one of my very favourite photographers on Flickr.

She inspires me on a daily basis and I look forward to each and every upload she makes. I only wish we lived closer because im sure we would be good friends and our daughters would most certainly love each other! If you are looking for inspiration, kindness, honesty and friendship you must head over to her stream...

Yushan (Chinese: 玉山; also known as Jade Mountain or Mount Morrison) is the highest mountain in Taiwan and the fourth highest mountain on an island. The highest point of Yushan range, Yushan, is 3,952 metres (12,966 ft) above sea level. Yushan was elected one of 28 finalists in the New 7 Wonders of Nature voting campaign.

Yushan National Park is Taiwan's largest, highest and least accessible national park. It contains the largest tract of wilderness remaining in Taiwan and is also valued for its pristine forests and faunal diversity, including many endemic species.

It never actually ran with the company in service, being new to Doig's of Glasgow, so it's somewhat surprising Lothian didn't just convert one of their own Plaxton-bodied Darts for the job. This is a landscape picture of "KIKBEEKBRON" - part of the national park "HOGE KEMPEN". Former this was an exploration place of sand for the glasindustry. Now it is very nice place to walk.
