PALM BAY, Cliftoville Kent, a area along the cliff tops, mainly for dog walks, runners ect, with the councils policy to let the grass areas go wild, is a sheer delight, the area is now filled with wild flowers, and tall grasses bees and butterfly's, house sparrows galore. Also a lot of meadow pipits, many with food for the youngsters in the long weedy areas, shows just how a small policy change has brought so much life to a area not known for it.

Snowy Egret in Mating Colors and Feathers
Snowy Egrets show their plumage during mating/breeding season. They start to show in early spring and keep their feathers for quite a while. Their beaks turn more of a yellow/orange/red color during the season. You will find these birds in shallow salt and fresh water areas with a small flock wading and dancing about. They will approach one another, start squawking, inflate their feathers and chase each other about. Sometimes they will start jumping in the air flapping their wings and dance around one another until one gives up and backs off.

UP 1943 crawls east towards Donner Summit on a cold October evening. The third unit had overheated and when the train was put into full throttle it started giving a really nice smoke show. The train would halt at the summit and sat for hours before finally making its final miles over the summit and down to Sparks.

Easter is here this Sunday. No Easter Car Show in Forest Park this year due to the COVID. I guess we'll have to let these old cars get 1 year older before we see them next year.

Two members of the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds perform at the 2018 Thunder Over Michigan air show in Ypsilanti, Michigan. There is no photo trickery here, just a straight shot as the pair passed by on the flight line with one flying upside down.

Since 1824, Świnoujście has been a seaside resort with a healing sea climate. After medicinal brine springs were discovered in the town's area in 1897, they were used for spa treatments, as were the existing medicinal mud deposits. The picture shows the graduation towers at one end of the promenade, near which the air is particularly salty and beneficial for respiratory problems.

If you don’t look too closely, you might think it's real. It’s a scene from what’s billed as the world’s largest miniature circus, part of the Ringling Circus Museum, in Sarasota, Florida.
Containing more than 42,000 pieces at 3/4-inch-to-one-foot scale, it’s an incredibly detailed replica of the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus as it would have looked during the 1920s and 1930s. The entire display covers 3,800 square feet, and includes eight large tents, 152 circus wagons, 1,500 workers and performers, 7,000 folding chairs and more than 500 hand-carved animals.
The creator, 84-year-old Howard Tibbals, still maintains a workshop on site and continues to add to the collection.
The tweaks here were relatively minor, but enough to call it a slider.

We don't see Morris Minor on the streets over here. Occasionally I see one in car shows, but I've never seen a Pickup Truck.
Morris Minor have a special place for me. When I was a kid and lived in England in the late 50's, we owned a Morris Minor woody station wagon. Neat car!

Explore March 16/08 ...Canada Goose Greater Canada Geese have also been introduced in Europe, and have established populations in Great Britain, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Scandinavia. Semi-tame feral birds are common in parks, and have become a pest in some areas. It is now proven that most Scandinavian and some British birds have established a migration pattern. The geese were first introduced in Britain in the late 17th century as an addition to King James II's waterfowl collection in St. James's Park. Finally, Canada Geese were introduced as a game bird into New Zealand, but they have also become a problem in some areas there. note the mess left behind by groups of Canada Geese make some parks etc a mess to walk around! A quiet afternoon reflection on mother nature’s beautiful light show. Probably the only advantage we have in Scotland weather wise is the speed in which our weather systems can change on an hourly basis. Equally sometimes the parting of heavy clouds can produce such beautiful sunlight which catches other things with in the view like a far away sun shower over the Isle of Arran.
These are the latest show stealers in my garden.
