Don't shoo fly. Stay around for the photo shoot! As if I had a choice. lol. They love my yard flowers.
I was just reading about why flies like flowers. They have many reasons. Some pollinate the flowers! Didn't know that! Will have to read up more on them another time. Life is so interesting. :-)

This is a low quality jpg, I normally shoot raw but forgot to check my camera settings, lesson learned. I noticed this leaf on my lawn this morning and started taking a few shots when by luck a fly landed on it and hung out for a few precious seconds. Love this being in the moment image.

this female pileated woodpecker was quite agitated about the starling perched above her home and kept sticking her head out of the cavity.
Eventually, it was an all-out "get off my roof" :-)
