The Shiva deity carving on the pediment of the eastern entrance of the main sanctuary of Phanom Rung.
Wikipedia: Phanom Rung (Thai: ปราสาทหินพนมรุ้ง – Phanom Rung Stone Castle), is a Hindu Khmer Empire Temple complex set on the rim of an extinct volcano at 402 meters (1,319 ft) elevation. It is located in Buriram Province in the Isan region of Thailand, and was built at a time when Khmer social-political influences were significant in Srisaket. It was built of sandstone and laterite between the 10th and 13th centuries. It was a Hindu shrine dedicated to Shiva, and symbolizes Mount Kailash, his heavenly dwelling. The Phanom Rung sanctuary compound was constructed over several phases, dated by means of iconography of its art and architectural styles together with its inscriptions. These comprise two foundations of sacred brick buildings of 10th century B.C., the minor sanctuary of 11th century, the central sanctuary built by king Suryavarman II’s relative Narentratitaya in 12th century and two Bannalais (libraries) of the 13th century. Further sacred buildings built in the reign of King Jayavarman VII in 13th century, including the Royal attire Changing Pavilion, the Kudi Rishis of Nong Bua Ray, the medical center or hospital (Arokayasala) and Prasat Ban Bu, a rest house with fire where travelers could shelter (Dharmasala) on the plain at the foot of Phanom Rung, alongside the road linking Angkor and Phimai. These evidence an important vice-regal center on and around the mountain that flourishes from the 10th to the 13th centuries.
A sky with streamers of cloud flying across the channel greeted me on Southerndown beach. I had great fun watching as it developed. This early shot was taken of Witches Point, and reminded me a bit of Shiva, so Shiva by the Antlers is the soundtrack to this one.

Nataraja or Nataraj, (Hindustani: [nət̪əˈraːdʒə]), The Lord (or King) of Dance; Tamil: கூத்தன் (Koothan); Malayalam: നടരാജ ; Telugu: నటరాజ; Kannada: ನಟರಾಜ, is a depiction of the god Shiva as the cosmic dancer who performs his divine dance to destroy a weary universe and make preparations for the god Brahma to start the process of creation.

I did this creation with all my love, so thank you very much for all your comments, invitations and Fav. I 'm so happy because all of yours are really my big support to continue on this site..
We are praying for you. Shiva is my son's dog that was diagnosed with Canine Anaplasmose about 2 weeks ago. In this time she went from a very agile 2 year old to barely able to move, eat or drink. She is in an animal clinic and it is uncertain if she will come through. We are all heart broken. Not sure when I will be posting again.
I photographed this today with the late afternoon sunshine coming in through the window and illuminated the face of Shiva beautifully.
The silhouettes in front of his face are leaves of a Calathea plant which was a little sickly soon after I'd bought it sometime ago, but I'm glad to say is now thriving.

Bahurupis in Bengal:
Bahurupi artists in West Bengal easily metamorphose into different characters during a performance, but are finding it hard to change their work roles with changing times.“We have to hold on to Bahurupi to survive. Their families don’t have any agricultural land to be able to do farming,” Bahurupi artists like him( male middle aged person) are performers who enact multiple religious and mythological roles and who travel to various villages and towns to perform a sequence of skits over several days. This once-popular folk art form is now vanishing in rural West Bengal.

Scindia Ghatis one of the ghats in Varanasi and borders Manikarnika, a place of Hindu cremation, to the north. At this ghat, a tilted Shiva temple can be found lying partially submerged in the Ganges River and it is argued that this ghat collapsed under its own excessive weight.
Normally Shiva temple
Located in the center of the Ganges valley, the region around the city is very fertile, thanks to the river's floods which moisten the land and thus make it possible to practice rice cultivation.
