Rough light. Generally uninspired on this one! Sometimes it's just good to practice.
While you’re here, stop by and visit the world of Jahrensy, my trusty second shooter and partner in crime on this, that and another misadventure.

- www.kevin-palmer.com - From the trail on the opposite side of Shell Canyon, I had a great view of the steep switchbacks of Highway 14.
- www.kevin-palmer.com - Cottonwood Canyon is located 2.5 miles from the start of the Shell Canyon Trail.
- www.kevin-palmer.com - It was a beautiful day for a hike in Shell Canyon. The fresh green foliage on the cottonwood trees was catching the sunlight.
- www.kevin-palmer.com - There were plenty of these small ponds in the area. One of them had a moose, but I didn't get a picture.

Shell Falls Wyoming is amazing! I took this shot from the look out and edited out the walkway on the left, be sure to stop at every turnout so you don't burn out your brakes. Because this is one hilly climb and descent . rv are suggested to not go this route. #shellfalls , #bighorn , #shellcanyon

My Flickrfriend Carla. I'm so glad that she makes it out to Wyoming often so that we can get together. She's turned in to a wonderful friend.
Shell Falls, along Shell Creek in Shell Canyon, Wyoming. Shell Creek starts high in the Bighorn Mountains and flows west down to the Bighorn Basin.
The Wild Flower's Song
As I wander'd the forest,
The green leaves among,
I heard a wild flower
Singing a song.
I slept in the Earth
In the silent night,
I murmur'd my fears
And I felt delight.
In the morning I went
As rosy as morn,
To seek for new joy;
But O! met with scorn.

If you make it over the mountain and into Shell, Wyoming, this general store is your reward. But they don't have Diet Ruby Red Squirt, so don't get your hopes up.
Shirl doesn't observe the ordinary precautions as we stop at one of the first overlooks up the mountain between Dayton and Shell, Wyoming. As always, her daughter is there to capture her final moments.

Stand in the place where you live
Now face North
Think about direction
Wonder why you haven't before
Now stand in the place where you work
Now face West
Think about the place where you live
Wonder why you haven't before
If you are confused, check with the sun
Carry a compass to help you along
Your feet are going to be on the ground
Your head is there to move you around, so
Stand in the place where you live
Now face North
Think about direction
Wonder why you haven't before
Now stand in the place where you work
Now face West
Think about the place where you live
Wonder why you haven't before
Your feet are going to be on the ground
Your head is there to move you around
If wishes were trees, the trees would be falling
Listen to reason
Season is calling
If wishes were trees, the trees would be falling
Listen to reason
Reason is calling
Your feet are going to be on the ground
Your head is there to move you around
Stand
