few clouds hovered over Doha last night and disappeared pretty quickly!. People still sitting outside restaurants, air chillers on, sheesha and cold ice water ( i have a photo ).
and in 2 years still not one dro of rain over Doha (FACT)
The fairy lights being reflected on the windscreen double the nice feeling that lights bring to the heart. The multicoloured bokeh lights of the cars and street in the background are pleasing and soothing to the eyes, turning the ordinary into magical!

1) My name is Abhishek Patel, I am a Scorpio, I was born on 14th Nov, the day is celebrated as Children's Day over here, since its just exactly 9months after 14th Feb (Valentine's Day) haha. I feel I am still such a Kid sometimes, I love playing around with toys (bigger ones now :P). I jump upon my dad and ask him to pick me up from one place to another, he ends up with a back pain in the end, :P. But i am matured when the time asks for it.
2) My first crush was when I was in 1st grade, she still doesn't know about it. I am so shy when it comes to girls. But I am also the most friendly around them. I love to tease them, even more fun is to look at their angry face after that haha :o)
3) I am still fascinated by trains, whenever there is a train passing by I would keep staring at it until it disappears at the horizon. I always dreamt of a house near the railway lines when I was a kid haha, I would still not mind a house like that. :D
4) I bunked my school classes for the first time when I was in 12th Grade (10 + 2), I know its a bit late, but It was a great feeling, and we went to the beach and played a lot of cricket and football, it also rained that day.
5) I first got drunk when I was about 17 when my friend broke up with his Girlfriend and he got emotional and forced me into this, i had 4 huge glasses of Whisky as my first time and just after that I had Nargile/Hukkah/Sheesha at my friend's party, still I drove my bike perfectly.
6) My preferable vacation spot would be Brazil, Argentina, Europe (Poland, Denmark, Scotland, Paris, UK Amsterdam and many more) and USA. I have many friends on Flickr who are more aware of the places of India then myself, one is my great friend Steve (worldworx), I feel so bad about this.
7) My favorite sport is Swimming and Cycling. I was once selected upto State level swimmer but was so lazy I left practice :P, I still enjoy it, specially underwater swimming. My other favorite activity at home is cooking, I dont go by the prefered recipies and use my own mix of spices when I make my dishes, I just love how it tastes different each time.
8) I love music a lot, i feel it energizes my soul when I am down, I used to hate old song (retro songs) before, and I used to get a headache when my parents used to play them in the car, but now I kind of like old songs more then the newer ones, It makes me feel relaxed and calm. I like Rock and Trance a lot, and when I am in a mood I would dance alone in my room for hours.
9) My first Digital was a Fujiflim A101 1.3mp, with no manual controls and a 8mb smartmedia card, but I used to love it so much, Its still with me, but doesn't work anymore haha, My first camera was when I was maybe 5yrs, it was a Kodak film, I loved getting clicked and I have so many pictures of myself.
10) I wanna learn Portuguese, Spanish and French.
11) I love my friend a lot, and I cant live without them I am always smiling laughing and enjoying when I am with them, and I don't mind being a fool, if that makes them happy and smile :).

It was exactly 1 year when this photo was taken in Aleppo, Syria. During that time it was still Ramadan and these were some of the activities for the local people do after the break fasting in the local cafes. Playing cards, backgammon and sheesha were part of the activities.
Picture was taken across the street from my hotel near Bab Al-Faraj.

In the bottom scene, an infamous Loreesi used camel merchant attempts to sell Captain Alphonso de Rojas some 'Battle Ostriches' Alphonso naturally scoffs at the idea.... meanwhile, on Fyrdraca, some Garhims prove the concept not so silly...!

I bought a really cool hooka yesterday. It was wrapped well in newspaper and a bag. I walked a long way across a parking lot with it, drove home, walked all the way up to our front door where I slipped on a tiny bit of ice which knocked me to my knee and I dropped the bag on the ice where a loud tinkling sound came from inside. Almost inside when the bulb of the hooka shattered. I was so very disappointed.
At least these things are modular and I can get a new bulb, but it was from the opposite end of the city and I made it within an inch of safety before I busted it.
They were pretty inexpensive and I'll likely get a few more of them, but I'm still upset with myself for letting it break. This is the kind of thing we'll never find in Snaketown, so I don't mind hauling a few to get there.

In Islam, we aren't allowed to drink.
The Quran clearly states that alchohol is not allowed (helpful for our health in small amounts, but human beings are weak,and incapable of restraining themselves to small amounts). Once you're drunk, there are greater possibilities of character degradation.
We are promised to glasses of alchohol in heaven which won't harm us,nor will we lose our sense or character. Will you sacrifice the alchohol on earth for the better one in afterlife? Or will you continue destructing your own body and character?
Took this when a few (non-muslim) friends went to a bar. Me and a friend(in the picture) had our own agenda- photography and sheesha respectively.

We were going back to Cairo from Alexandria after a wonderful weekend. Then we stopped by in "Wa7et Omar" (Omar Oasis) to have some drinks. We had our time and then paid the check and then suddenly my photographic eye spotted this scene.
I politely asked the guy to take the photo and he gladly replied "sure, etfadal ya basha" ;)
I was lucky enough to find a table perfectly placed. So it became my tripod. Took my 3XP's using AEB and stored as both RAW and JPG.
HDR-ed and tonemapped in Photomatix and then moved to Adobe Lightroom for further enhancements.
It reminds me of "Prince of Persia" game...what does it remind you of?

This horse was just put up there don’t know how long ago in a bar / cafe in Bangalore. Reminded me of the opening credits of the popular American series West World where they make a mechanical horse animated as if real.
The Hookah's origin traces back to India. It surfaced in the form we know it as today around the 15th Century when Indian Glass manufacturing began as a result of the exporting of glass to India through the British East India Company. The glass base was called Shisha. Its mystique spread to Iran where special strong, flavorless tobacco was used with it called "Ajami". It rose to fame under the Ottoman Empire's rule around the time of Murat V in 1623-1640. The sultans of the age took portraits with their Nargiles and it became a status symbol of the time. It was smoked after royal dinners and at diplomatic meetings.
Hookahs are known around the world by many different names, such as a water pipe, nargeela/nargile/narghile/nargileh, argeela/arghileh, shisha/sheesha, okka, kalyan, or ghelyoon or ghalyan. Many of these names are of Arab, Somalian, Indian, Ethiopian, Turkish, Uzbek, or Persian origin.
Shisha, a synonym for Hookah, is from the Persian word shishe, literally translated as glass and not bottle. It is more commonly used in Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, Saudi Arabia and Somalia.
