What I love about her work is this:
"utilizing repurposed materials, Booker transforms used and discarded rubber materials found on city streets, repair shops and dumps into elaborate sculptures. Through slicing, twisting, and weaving tires into radically new forms and textures,"
Her sculptures are made from used tires. What an exhausting material with which to work but she does it masterfully.
Luscious chunks of creamy blue just makes you want to scoop it up and feel it melt in your mouth....

In a monastery in Bagan, novice monks shave each others heads. According to the rules set in the Vinaya-Pitaya, one the earliest Buddhist texts, monks have to shave their heads every two months.
For yesterday's lunch, Steve made the Shaved Fennel Salad from Heidi Swanson's Super Natural Every Day (also featured last week on her blog). It was a good light lunch, but it would make a nice starter salad for dinner too.

I have had this salt & pepper look for about a month and a half. Not because of the current situation, but because I am lazy and really do not like to shave. But last night I had Deborah trim it down for me so I could shave it off. My face, while not quite as smooth as a baby's butt, is clean shaven.
To get the this picture, I put my 60mm lens on my Nikon and fired away. I had several shots that were just of my nose, not a good look. Anyway, I wish everyone a safe and happy week. B
