A Sharp-shinned Hawk searching for his next meal underneath the forest canopy at the Nestucca Bay NWR near Pacific City, Oregon. The Shap-shinned Hawk is one of 3 Accipiters located in North America, along with Goshawks and Cooper's Hawks.

SHARP Z2 - Gold

Early morning raid of the bird feeders. He landed 10 feet outside my window and after sitting for a few minutes, jumped into a bush under the window, grabbed a song bird and left to enjoy his breakfast. These photos are not cropped.
