Bruce Grimes nearly got his arm bit off by a shark as he was surfing last weekend off Mexico's Pacific Coast. He was lucky: Two other surfers have been killed by sharks in the same area over the past month, creating a scene right out of Jaws.

Brett Holden/Capt Ahab and his ability to find and catch fish have propelled him to be a top player in the sport-fishing world. With his finely honed crew and a battleship called the Booby Trap, he has become an unstoppable fishing machine. These cute little fellows have been bringing Great White Sharks to the beaches on Cape Cod this summer.
Apparently they are a favorite snack for the Great White and they've taken to swimming closer to shore bringing with them the surlier side of the food chain.

This year at the auto show, I got bored taking pictures of cars, so I decided to undertake a little project: I would go up to the saleswomen--so obviously chosen for their abilities to lure men to cars--during their salespitches, point my Lomo LC-A at them, and wait for them to notice me. Once they did, I would snap the shutter and record their reaction to somebody so blatantly taking pictures of women, not cars.

This woman did notice me at some point, but I wasn't fast enough to catch her expression. After that, she became very good at ignoring me. I felt especially self conscious shooting this photo because the men around me were so obviously staring at her breasts, and I really realized at this point that my camera served as nothing but a raw and apparent manifestation of that. This is when I started to feel creepy, even though I couldn't care less about her breasts.
