I love this woman! She is now a proud great-grandmother for the third time. And now I've seen all her grandbabies and great-grands. So sweet. Welcome, teeny tiny Baby Eric (2 lbs!).

The elk used to stay at the other end of the enclosure all the time. Then the wolves moved in and now the elk stay up close to the fence. Seems odd, but I think the elk are keeping an eye on the wolves.

Signage on the Interurban Rail Trail in suburban Saanich, north of Victoria, is bright, visible and uses familiar images and language. Where trails serve transportation functions, signage should be consistent with road sigange.
