Simplicity 2553; ©1946; Child's Dress and Bonnet: In Style I the Peter Pan collar and cuffs for the puffed sleeves are made in contrast. In Style II the round neckline is lace trimmed and armhole bonds are finished with bows at the shoulder. In Styles I and II a continuous lap forms a back-button Closing and the skirt is gathered. Smocking trims the bodice front. The bonnet is wide-brimmed and smocked. Tie ends join to the brim sides. Transfer for smocking included.

Two piece dress Straight overblouse buttons below away from the neckline, shaped collar. Extension band extends for looped ends. Above or below elbow length sleeves. Above elbow length sleeves turn back to form short sleeves. Four piece slightly flared skirt.
