I have been astounded and satisfied at the quality of photos that I can make on my Google Pixel 5 along with the Snapseed photoediting app. May not be going to an art museum but meets my needs and is always in my pocket.

My sewing days are long over but I still have odds and ends that remind me of what used to be. I never did get on with using a sewing machine , so dress-making and furnishings were a no-no, but let me loose on hand -stitched patchwork or hand embroidery and I was in heaven!

Now I can use my bits and bobs as still life subjects so I'm in a different kind of heaven with my camera ....

Autumnal colours for this weeks sewing theme in Macro Mondays group. HMM

Just found this in my archives from last year, this advice made me smile and cringe at the same time! The first paragraph has a good deal of common sense….

I had a Singer sewing machine much like this in my teens, it had belonged to my Granny and Mum so it caught my eye…

Seen at Brockhampton Estate last year.

She's so cute~ I love that it turned out better than I thought it would!

I totally followed a pattern (dolly coordinates #2 + dolly dolly--thanks HLG!!) ... I wouldn't be able to do it without one o_0...

The dunlin moves along the coastal beaches it prefers with a characteristic "sewing machine" feeding action, methodically picking small food items. Insects form the main part of the dunlin's diet on the nesting grounds; it eats molluscs, worms and crustaceans in coastal areas.

For this challenge we had to be creative with sewing notions. Once I received from my sister writing paper on which she had sewn threads. I loved that paper. So I thought to sew a leaf on colored paper. and this is the result. This leaf is about 5 cm.
