I finally pulled out my machine and started sewing masks. I am hoping they will let us get back to work soon and I want to be prepared to be out in public again. Stay safe and continue to be well.

I have been astounded and satisfied at the quality of photos that I can make on my Google Pixel 5 along with the Snapseed photoediting app. May not be going to an art museum but meets my needs and is always in my pocket.

Just found this in my archives from last year, this advice made me smile and cringe at the same time! The first paragraph has a good deal of common sense….

I had a Singer sewing machine much like this in my teens, it had belonged to my Granny and Mum so it caught my eye…

Seen at Brockhampton Estate last year.

The dunlin moves along the coastal beaches it prefers with a characteristic "sewing machine" feeding action, methodically picking small food items. Insects form the main part of the dunlin's diet on the nesting grounds; it eats molluscs, worms and crustaceans in coastal areas.

In fact, this was a photo shoot for Macro Monday and it is also a proof of the size of the Sewing accessory shot. My sewing machine is very small (17 cm) but it is very good and can also use batteries.

I hope you can guess what I photographed for Macro Mondays.

For this challenge we had to be creative with sewing notions. Once I received from my sister writing paper on which she had sewn threads. I loved that paper. So I thought to sew a leaf on colored paper. and this is the result. This leaf is about 5 cm.
