A collection of ceramic figurines my sons bought me about 30 years ago, which have always been treasured possessions, which still sit on a shelf in my study.

HMM-- the theme for today, 7/15, is "patterns in nature" and this is one possibility for posting :) i think this one is my favorite of the five :) so this is a sentimental choice :)
normally her longest whisker is almost 3 inches but she had turned her head to see what i was doing, so curved they all fell well within the 3 inch parameters!!

A hand-me-down necklace from my husband's Mother to his Sister & then to me to pass on to a Granddaughter. Maybe not valuable but a lovely connection to family past. Photographed in our Mulberry Bush: appropriate as David has fond memories of their Mulberry Bush when he was growing up.
First time I've tried two colours in the in-camera selective colour app.
Another shot of my favourite Grandma's tea set. I couldn't resist using it to photograph the marvellous cherries made of the famous Murano handblown glass, which I bought in San Gimignano some time ago. I cherish them as a fondest memory of my trip to astoundingly beautiful Tuscany and now I keep them perched on my kitchen windowsill. A nice cup of tea to get my Friday going.

About 12 years ago or so, we gave this to our eldest son, but for sometime he has used an electric razor, and only kept it for sentimental value of when he shaved. However, two weeks ago, he wondered if I would like to have it as I still shave with a razor, and having a brush is an added bonus!!!

I spent some time shooting up at 'the ruins" in Fruit Heights, Utah. Probably the best view of the sunset in the entire county. I took a time-lapse as the sun actually set and I figured that the clouds wouldn't light up red or pink or anything. Right as my friend Coulson and I were hiking down, the clouds started to light up red. I snapped a few really quick and this is one of the results, and I'm actually really happy with how it turned out :)
I just recently learned how to composite a foreground into a picture of a background or vice versa, so this photo was originally going to be a test shot of me trying to do that. But it failed so I came up with this instead.
