*** Marchands de souvenirs ambulants sur la playa de Varadero, Cuba. Il est dit que c'est la plus belle - ou meilleure - plage au monde. Sable blanc et eaux chaudes cristallines.
Il Sella emerge dal mare di nubi: ben visibile la piramide del Piz Boè, vetta più alta dell'intero massiccio.
Sullo sfondo le cime delle Alpi di Zillertalo Alpi Aurine, dove si notano Gran Pilastro, Gran Mesule, Cima di Campo...
il profilo triangolare del rilievo aspro e stratificato si staglia in solitaria contro il cielo. Più in basso, una serie di colli arrotondati, in parte boscati, suggerisce che la parte superiore del monte emergeva dai ghiacciai würmiani.
La peculiarità di questo sito consiste nell’assetto geometrico del massiccio stratificato. Di particolare rilievo è l’inclinazione verso Sud della stratificazione che costituisce l’essenza stessa del monte Amariana. Si tratta per la gran parte di strati dolomitici di età norica, appartenenti alla Dolomia Principale. A questi si aggiungono esigui spessori di Calcare di Dachstein e di Calcari Grigi di età giurassica inferiore.

L’abitudine di scendere spesso a valle dopo il tramonto mi regala a volte dei begli incontri.
Camosci al pascolo in una radura a circa 2000, vicino al sentiero che dal rifugio Vittorio Sella porta a Valnontey.
I'm sure when I last went past this site it was a petrol station! No problem selling all these new houses it would seem.
Things have been a bit manic in the last two weeks, but I finally got the opportunity to get out and hobble to the Woods to catch the "wild garlic" before they get past there sell-by date.
The aroma of garlic as I got out of the car was unbelievably strong, with it being a still evening. I managed to get a little late light to filter through the woods and came away with some nice shots. This is the path leading into the woods, which I thought was worthy of a post! My left leg is still badly swollen and painful but the exercise walking around this enchanted woodland was great therapy.
So we're on the harbour again.

He💀-"I told you that no one was going to buy them. Children are afraid of us."
She💀-"But I put on my best clothes. Wait ... someone's coming."
Few minutes later ... another buyer left and they didn't sell the pumpkins! Disappointment again ...oh no!

Ask yourself: when you're on a trip and visit a place you've never been before, do you go to these souvenir shops to buy something that reminds you of that place? I usually do and what I always buy from the place I visit, is a shot glass. Aside from that, i find it interesting to browse through these memorabillia shops. Most people will think that they have cheap stuff or things of mass production with no character at all. However, some times you may find a few gems in them, something that is really local and traditional! for me, those shops feel like places that "sell memories".
PS: for those who will take a closer look at my photo, on the table of the very right postcard (taken at the island of Santorini) is a plate of "gemista" (rice stuffed tomatoes), a "village salad" and a piece of ... (my favorite) moussaka! :-)

Μερικες φορες ομως μπορει να πετυχεις καποια πολυ ομορφα, ντοπια και παραδοσιακα πραγματα. Για μενα, αυτα τα μαγαζακια μοιαζουν με μερη που "πουλανε αναμνησεις"
ΥΓ: ε οχι! δε θα αναλυσω τι υπαρχει στο τραπεζι της δεξιας καρτ ποσταλ! οποιοσδηποτε μπορει να διαβασει το ελληνικο κειμενο ΞΕΡΕΙ!

This market was amazing to see, lots of stalls selling so many gorgeous foods from the area, could not believe the size of the fruits we sore, amazing & the atmosphere was fantastic although there were sheets heads on display but we quickly marched past that stall, Barcelona.

Guys, this Castle is a popular tourist spot in Perak, Malaysia. It has always been 'listed' as the most haunted place in Malaysia. So much so, that when we passed by here (we never intend to actually visit it) my sister strictly prohibited me to even go near and capture this mysterious place!! sigh!! She was worried as we had a baby and kids (my nieces..) with us!!
I was really upset coz I could not explore this wonderful place!! Maybe next time when I go without my family members (sometimes outing with family members just suck becoz of this kinna problems.. LOL!!) I can actually get my camera working!!
This was shot just outside my sis's car, so sorry guys it does not show the whole castle. There were trees & plants obstructing the view so I had to crop it!!
Here are the details 'plucked' from Wikipedia;
Kellie's Castle (sometimes also called Kellie's Folly) is located near Batu Gajah, and is about 20 minutes' drive from Ipoh, Perak, Malaysia. The unfinished, ruined mansion, was built by a Scottish planter called William Kellie Smith. According to differing accounts, it was either a gift for his wife or a home for his son.
Unfortunately for Smith, tragedies struck soon after the construction of the Kellas House began. A virulent strain of the Spanish flu spread from Europe to Asia soon after World War I ended in Europe, killing many of the workers in the Kellas Estate. Another seventy workers constructing Smith's dream castle also became victims of the flu. Smith, who had already spent a fortune on his house, lost a lot of money because of this.
In the end, Kellas House, later known as Kellie's Castle or even Kellie's Folly to some, was never completed. William Kellie Smith himself died of pneumonia during a short trip to Portugal in 1926. His heartbroken wife decided to pack up and return home to Scotland selling the estate and Kellie's Castle to a British company called Harrisons and Crosfield. Descendants of the Tamil labourers brought over to Malaya to work on the mansion still live nearby even now. Kellie's Castle is now a popular local tourist attraction and was used as a setting in the 1999 film Anna and the King.
